I am very happy to invite you to explore with me today. This is day 21 in the Journey to Peace series. Today you will try a transformative perspective, to flip your desires.

Welcome to day 21.

To want what I get.

Begin by feeling at home where you are right now.

Take a look around.

If you want you can close your eyes and listen to the sounds.

Just listen without having to change anything.

Now turn away from the outside.

Turn your attention inside.

What's going on in your breath?

Follow your breath as careful as you can throughout the body.

Inhaling all the way from the toes up through your belly,

Chest,

Throat and head.

And then exhale.

Like a wave of relaxation flowing down through your body.

Let your shoulders drop.

You can release some of the tension,

Some of these armour plates.

With every breath release some energy.

Gain some clarity.

Transform your nerves of steel into nerves of light.

Many live after the principle,

I will be happy when I get what I want.

When I get that job,

That race,

That new car,

House,

Partner or children then I will be really happy.

But is that true?

In my life it's sometimes been the opposite.

For a while I got everything I wanted.

Top score on exams,

Dream jobs and of course I was beaming with joy.

But there were always new goals on the horizon.

When I began my journey and turned my life outside in I discovered an opposite source of happiness.

Rather than getting what I want I tried to want what I got.

Instead of focusing only on what I want I began focusing on what I am already getting,

Receiving every moment.

Every moment presents the gift of a new breath.

Every moment gives thoughts and feelings and a fresh experience of life.

What happens if you concentrate deeply on all the things you have once wanted and now you have them?

You got it.

This human body,

This home,

This family,

These friends.

You really got it.

A meal of food,

Water to drink,

Air to breathe,

Love,

Sunshine.

Thank you earth,

Thank you sun,

Thank you life.

Wow you made a third level,

Got halfway on the journey.

Now it's time to leave this beloved planet.
