Welcome to the first day on your journey to peace.
Every day you will unlock a new 5 minute exercise to listen to.
By listening and following the instructions best you can,
You'll learn many different ways to create more peace in your own life.
You can do this practice while sitting,
Standing,
Lying down or even walking.
The important thing is to take a break from everything else during these 5 minutes and make it part of your daily ritual,
Perhaps after you brush your teeth in the morning or on your lunch break.
Eventually all the inner shifts you make on this journey will slowly but surely ripple far beyond your own life and bring about a peaceful shift in our world.
Thus,
This journey isn't only for yourself,
You are doing it for all of us.
So thank you.
Now let's begin.
First take a look around where you are and then close your eyes if you want.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Let these sounds pass along and become aware of your posture.
You might want to stretch your back carefully and soften your shoulders.
See if you can relax your belly a bit and open your chest wide.
We will now get to know the most important guide in your journey.
It's actually much more important than my voice.
It's your own breath.
If you want,
You can put a hand on your belly and the other on your chest.
Where in your body can you feel your breath right now?
How does your breath feel like?
Your breathing can be all kind of ways.
Quick,
Slow,
Tense,
Soft,
Smooth,
Uncomfortable,
Comfortable,
It doesn't matter at this point.
Your only mission right now is to feel these physical sensations in your breath however they feel like.
Follow the stream of air that goes in through the nostrils and mouth,
Down the throat and fills your lungs.
Feel how your belly and chest expand which creates space from the air.
If you want,
Try to exhale extra slowly a breath or two.
Let your thoughts take care of themselves for a while.
Just rest in the breathing.
Let the breathing continue in its own pace.
You don't have to control or direct it.
Just let go of the control and focus on the feeling of the physical sensations of breathing and the muscle that tightens and relaxes in your belly,
Chest and throat.
Finish by taking a few deep breaths,
Inhaling and exhaling.
How does your breath feel now?
You might want to stretch your body and your arms before moving again.
Congratulations,
You made it through the first day.
Regardless of what you have felt during these moments,
This has been the first step on your journey to peace.
