Welcome to the 2 year old loving kindness meditation.
Parents before we begin ask the child to choose two people for them to send love to.
Get ready to show that child a photo of each person.
It can be physical photos or photos on the cell phone.
So for the beginning of the meditation,
Either have a hand held mirror ready or go to a mirror in your house.
Parents for each person we send love to we're going to do a sign.
For I love you,
Put your arms crossed over your chest.
For be happy,
Point to the corners of your mouth and to a smile.
For be healthy,
Do strong arms.
Let's do a love meditation.
Put your arms across your chest like you're saying the word love in sign language.
Think about what love feels like.
It's time to look in the mirror.
First you're going to love yourself.
Cross your arms over your chest.
Breathe in.
Extend your arms outward and exhale.
Say I love you.
Be happy.
Be healthy.
Now show your child a photo of someone they love.
Look who it is.
You love this person.
Think about this person.
We are going to send love to this person.
Breathe in with your arms across your chest.
Exhale and send the love out to this person.
Say I love you.
Be happy.
Be healthy.
Now show your child the other photo of someone different they love.
Look who it is.
You love this person.
Think about this person.
