Welcome to the loving kindness meditation for three-year-olds.

Parents each phrase of the mantra has a movement that you and your child will do.

When you say,

May you be well,

Do strong arms.

When you say,

May you be happy,

Point to the corners of your mouth.

When you say,

May you be peaceful,

Put your arms up and down like you're taking a deep breath.

When you say,

May you be loved,

Cross your arms over your chest.

Let's do a loving kindness meditation.

We are going to send love to some people in our lives.

Take a deep breath,

Close your eyes,

Think about love,

Feel love in your heart.

Let's first give love to you.

May I be well.

May I be happy.

May I be peaceful.

May I be loved.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Do you feel the love you gave to yourself?

Next,

Let's give love to someone you love.

Think of someone you love.

Who is it?

Let's send love to that person.

Pretend like you're talking to that person.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you be peaceful.

May you be loved.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Do you feel the love you gave to that person?

Let's do one more.

Think of someone who has you feeling sad.

Who is it?

This might be hard,

But let's send love to that person.

Pretend like you're talking to that person.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you be peaceful.

May you be loved.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath.

Do you feel the love that you gave to that person?

This is the end of the meditation.

Thank you for joining us.

I love the addition of the sign language to this loving kindness meditation! It helps bring an β€œadult” practice to a level you children can grasp! I teach yoga to preschoolers and just started meditation with them through books and breathing. I’m using this one in my next classes! Thank you!! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’œπŸ’«
