Hello,
And welcome to this short meditation to help you get more fully present.
My name is Wanna and I'm honored to guide you through this journey to awakening to the here and now.
Begin by finding yourself a comfortable position,
Seated or laying down,
That allows for a straight spine and deep,
Easy breathing.
If you can be outside and connected to the earth during this time,
That's great.
If not,
Being inside a room works perfectly all right too.
Find one point of still focus right in front of you where your eyes can rest naturally.
Don't divert your gaze anywhere else.
Stay relaxed and very present behind your eyes as you stay focused on this one area.
Now take a big inhale and close your eyes as you exhale,
Feeling your attention from behind your eyes still focused on this same area.
Even though you can't see it,
You can sense it,
You know that it's still there.
You can see it in your mind's eye.
Become aware of your body by tapping into the subtle energy flowing through it.
Feel this pulsating energy in your hands and then in your legs.
Become aware of the beating of your heart.
Really listen to it.
Connect to this aliveness within you that seldom gets noticed when you are stuck in overthinking.
There is nothing to do but be here right now.
So let go of any chatter in your head that is distracting you from this precious moment.
Become aware of the space around you.
Notice the energy in the room,
Even if you can't see it,
Feel it.
Notice where your body makes contact with the ground.
Notice where your root chakra,
At the base of your spine,
Connects to the earth.
Imagine the powerful energy contained there.
This area,
Your root chakra,
Provides you with a foundation for life.
It helps you feel grounded,
Especially in the midst of the challenges life can throw at you.
Lean on it when you need support.
Imagine your root chakra strongly anchored into the earth.
Realize strong roots stretching from the base of your spine deep into the ground beneath you.
Ground into the earth as if you were a tree.
Breathe right down into your roots.
You are stable.
You are strong.
You are unshakable.
Use this space to let go of anything you don't want.
Imagine stuck energy moving down your roots and being released into the earth.
Notice any areas in your body that contain pain or tension.
Allow the discomfort to move right through your system,
Down through your roots,
And into the earth.
It is no longer yours to hold on to,
So let it go.
Let go of your stress.
Let go of your fears.
Let go of your anxiety.
Let it all be absorbed by the earth.
Now ground into your breath.
Ground into your inhale and exhale.
With every inhale,
Feel more presence entering your body.
And with every exhale,
Move that presence deep into your body.
Stand it there.
As you continue to breathe more presence into your body,
Repeat mentally after me as you really take the time to soak in each affirmation with a smile on your face,
I love my body.
I love being in my body.
I am grounded.
I am present.
I am here.
I am now.
And so it is.
With your eyes still closed and your awareness right behind your eyes,
Focus your full attention back on that same focal point you began your meditation with.
Feel it there in front of you.
Balance it with your whole body.
I'm going to count you down from three to one.
And on one,
I want you to slowly open your eyes and fully awaken to what is before you.
Here we go.
Three,
Two,
One.
Mindfully open your eyes.
Take this moment to just be here,
Fully awake and breathing.
Life is a miracle,
Isn't it?
