Welcome.
This is Padma Gordon and this is Living from the Heart.
And today I want to talk to you about keeping it simple.
We hear that so often.
Keep it simple,
Don't overcomplicate things.
And yet the mind wants to do this.
You might find yourself overthinking,
Wondering,
Or severating.
And all of that takes a lot of energy.
So today's meditation is offered in support of keeping it simple.
So with that,
Let us begin.
Let us begin with the breath,
The most simple and direct pathway to presence is the breath.
So turn toward your breath,
My friends.
Turn toward your breath.
Breath is your constant companion.
Be gentle,
Be gentle with yourself.
Often we can be so hard on ourselves,
Setting such high expectations.
So be gentle and kind.
And offer the warm,
Soft,
Golden light of your attention inside.
Every breath,
Every breath is a breath of kindness.
Simple kindness.
Letting your breath gently caress your insides.
Let your breath spread throughout your body.
All the way out through your fingers and toes.
Keep it simple.
Even if your mind wants to travel around the galaxy,
Entertaining you with so many guests,
So many thoughts.
Keep it simple.
Come back.
Come back to your own breath.
That's right.
Just like that.
Keep it simple,
Sweet friend.
Keep it simple.
The most simple thing is to place your attention right here.
Right here.
And yet there are times where this moment,
Being right here,
Seems to be out of reach.
Keep it simple.
Bring your attention right here.
This luminous,
Infinite moment is inviting you.
And you can trust,
My friend,
That every time you very simply and very kindly turn your attention inside,
Bring yourself right here.
And every time you do this,
It gets easier.
And even if you have spent your life looking outside,
Looking out for love,
For validation,
Appreciation,
It is possible to keep it simple,
To turn your attention back inside.
It is a gesture of kindness,
Of self-love.
So let us sit together and keep it simple,
My friend.
Keep it simple.
One breath at a time.
One breath at a time.
You are not alone.
We are here together,
Basking in the simplicity of this infinite moment.
So I'll call you back.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Keep it simple.
I'll call you back.
Gently bring yourself back,
Continuing to notice your breath.
It's so simple.
It's often said that tending to the moment is simple,
Yet not easy.
It takes practice.
And what you practice becomes who you are.
I invite you to join me here again and practice.
Let's practice together here in community.
The infinite moment is an open invitation.
I look forward to being with you again soon.
Keep it simple.
