Money is a necessary part of life, but it can also bring stress, anxiety, and misplaced priorities. This four-part course invites you to explore what the New Testament teaches about wealth, generosity, and trust in God’s provision. Each session combines guided breathing exercises, scripture meditation, reflective questions, and prayer to help you develop a biblical perspective on money—whether you have a little or a lot. Through this journey, you’ll reflect on anxiety around money, John Wesley’s wisdom on earning, saving, and giving, and the importance of finding security in God rather than wealth. Each session encourages personal transformation by challenging you to apply biblical principles to your financial habits. You’ll also have opportunities to share insights and questions in the class discussion page, fostering a supportive learning community. By the end of this course, you will have a deeper understanding of God’s revolutionary wisdom on money and practical ways to align your financial life with faith, peace, and generosity. Philippians 4:11-13
A first step in understanding how the New Testament addresses money is contentment. Paul is saying that money is one of the grounds for finding freedom. He has learned to be content with gain or want. This contentment has to be learned and is only gained through the experiences of seeing God provide and finding inner trust.

Luke 12:15
The second step to engaging money in the New Testament is to understand and address greed. So many of the messages we receive from media, politicians, our jobs, friends, and family are about the veneration of money and social status. It is as if greed is not something we can get away from; it is the metaphorical water in the fishbowl of our society.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8
The third step to engaging New Testament truths about money is to examine our generosity. Many have wanted to lean on the tithe or other ideas to make the decisions about generosity easy. However, it is not that simple. According to 2 Corinthians, giving is not a matter of rules but a matter of heart, discerning God, and feeling good about it.

Matthew 6:19-20
Finally, our relationship with money is a matter of how we prioritize God, our faith, and our spiritual walk. Our efforts, energy, and purpose should go beyond gaining and keeping wealth in this lifetime. In our world that revolves around gaining and keeping wealth, this is a tough truth. Our focus should be on doing good in the world, which constitutes treasures in heaven.
