Welcome to the heart space.
Today we are going to talk about gratitude and how it will always lift you up out of any situation.
It will change your perspective instantly and it's just right.
It feels so good.
So gratitude can be felt in any moment and when I say felt I mean more than an emotion.
Gratitude is just something that we're born to do but we tend to forget as we grow into adulthood and face various obstacles or problems or situations.
But if you can remember to drop back into gratitude you'll survive,
You'll thrive and nothing can touch that beautiful place inside of you that lives in gratitude.
So let's get comfortable.
Sit straight up if you can,
Obviously not driving.
And take a long slow deep breath in and feel it just filling your lungs.
And when you release just let all the tension in your muscles and in your shoulders and neck go.
Let's do that again.
Take a long slow deep breath in and this time hold it at the top.
For the count of four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Release.
You're feeling much more relaxed and you are now in the moment.
And when you're in the moment,
That's when you feel gratitude.
Gratitude is like a door opening to this present moment.
So take a minute and call to mind something that you can instantly feel grateful for.
If it's your other special other or your spouse,
Boyfriend,
Girlfriend,
Your parents,
Your children,
Anyone that you just love completely and wholly.
Because gratitude is holy.
H-O-L-Y.
It connects us to the divine.
So I'll give you just a few minutes to think of that person or even a pet,
A dog.
You can feel so grateful for your dog or cat.
I'll be back in just a minute,
But keep breathing.
And say you're thinking of a person.
In your mind's eye,
Picture them as clearly as you can.
And picture them looking at you with their eyes full of love.
And you give them that same love in return.
And you just have a quiet moment of exchange.
Okay?
Now see if you can take that gratitude that you generated in your mind thinking of this other person.
And see if your hands in your mind can't grasp or cup that energy,
That energy of gratitude.
And form a ball with that energy,
Almost like you're packing a snowball.
Form a ball and just look at it in your mind's eye.
This is gratitude.
This is the energy you can tap into at any time,
In any moment.
And this is your gratitude.
You just generated that.
And imagine if you took that ball of gratitude,
That glowing energy,
That vibrating essence,
And you put it into your heart.
So place your hands over your heart,
One on top of the other.
And imagine that glowing ball of gratitude coming into your heart.
And breathe it in.
Breathe it in and see that shimmering ball of light filling you,
Filling your heart,
Filling you from the inside out.
And it's expanding and growing.
And it's becoming who you are.
Because at your very core,
At your very essence,
You are gratitude.
And when you open this door of gratitude,
And when you allow it in,
Just as we've done,
You'll receive more things in your life to be grateful for.
Because this shimmering energy has filled you from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.
And it's shimmering,
And your cells are actually shimmering in return,
In response.
Because this is who you are.
So I'm going to let you sit with that for just a few minutes.
I hope you played with your gratitude ball.
You can actually have fun with this.
And before we come out of this meditation,
Set an intention that you will be constantly on the lookout for more things in which to be grateful.
For all the tiny miracles that surround you every moment of the day.
Open your awareness to see those miracles and to acknowledge them with gratitude.
And you will step out into your life as a completely different person.
