Welcome to this yoga nidra practice,
A journey into deep relaxation and inner peace.
As you lie down in a comfortable position,
Let your body settle into the surface beneath you.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
With each exhale,
Allow any tension to melt away.
This time is for you to fully relax and reconnect with your inner self.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your right hand.
Feel the sensations in your right hand,
The palm,
The back of the hand,
And each and every finger.
Now shift your awareness to your right wrist,
Your forearm,
Your elbow,
Upper arm,
And shoulder.
Allow your right arm to become heavy and relaxed.
Now move your awareness to your left hand.
Feel the sensations in the palm,
The back of your hand,
And each and every finger.
Then move to your left wrist,
Your forearm,
Your elbow,
Upper arm,
And shoulder.
Let your left arm become heavy and relaxed.
Now bring your awareness to your right foot.
Feel the sensations in the sole,
The top of your foot,
And every single toe.
Move up to your ankle,
Your calf,
Knee,
Thigh,
And hip.
Let your right leg become heavy and relaxed.
Shift your awareness to your left foot now.
Feel the sensations in the sole,
The top of the foot,
And every single toe.
Move up to your ankle,
Your calf,
Knee,
Thigh,
And hip.
Let your left leg become heavy and relaxed.
Now bring your awareness to your back,
From the base of your spine to the neck.
Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth,
And allow your back to soften and release any tension.
Now moving to the front of your body,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest with each breath,
Let your belly soften and feel your breath becoming slow and steady.
And finally,
Bring your awareness to your head.
Relax your jaw,
Your cheeks,
Eyes,
Forehead,
And scalp.
Allow your entire body to feel heavy and completely at ease.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breath as it flows in and out.
You don't need to change anything,
Just simply observe.
Begin to breathe in a way that feels comfortable to you,
Allowing your breath to become slower and deeper.
As you inhale,
Imagine breathing in calm and relaxation,
And as you exhale,
Release any remaining tension or stress held in your body.
With each breath,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation.
Imagine that with each inhale,
You are drawing in fresh,
Revitalizing energy,
And with each exhale,
You are letting go of anything that no longer serves you.
Continue this pattern for several breaths,
Feeling a sense of peace and calm spreading throughout your entire being.
Now I invite you to visualize a place where you feel completely at ease,
A sanctuary of peace and tranquility.
This could be a place where you've been to before,
Or a place you create in your mind.
It could be a beach,
A forest,
A mountaintop,
Or even a cozy room with a warm fire.
In this place,
You feel safe and relaxed and deeply connected to yourself.
Imagine the sights,
The sounds,
And smells of this place.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin and the ground beneath you.
Allow yourself to be fully immersed in this environment.
As you do,
Notice how your body and mind continue to relax and unwind.
There's nothing you need to do here except be present and enjoy this moment of peace.
In this deeply relaxed state,
Take a moment to connect with your heart and set an intention,
A positive statement,
Something you wish to manifest in your life.
It could be related to health,
Relationships,
Or personal growth.
State your intention silently to yourself three times with full awareness and conviction.
Feel the truth of your intention as if it is already happening.
This intention will plant a seed in your subconscious mind,
And through your practice,
It will grow and manifest in your reality.
Now slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Notice the weight of your body resting on the surface beneath you.
Take a few deeper breaths,
Slowly starting to bring movement back into your fingers and toes.
Gently rotate your wrists and ankles.
And when you are ready,
Stretch your arms overhead and take a full body stretch.
As you gradually come back to the present moment,
Carry with you the peace and relaxation from this practice.
Take your time,
And when you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for sharing this yoga nidra practice with me today.
May you carry this sense of calm and connection with you as you continue your day.
