Welcome to your Light Meditation.

This meditation connects people and reminds them how our energy moves,

Shifts and transforms.

In this meditation,

Feel bright light move through all of the rooms of your body to just outside of your skin,

To the people around you,

Into the trees and waterways and finally all of the environment.

So sit comfortably so you can feel the spine present and upright.

Feel the gentle curve in the lower back,

Matched by the one at the base of the skull.

Relax your shoulders and relax that feeling that you have to do anything right now.

Feel the clothes on your skin and your body sitting there in the room that you're in.

Feel the weight of the body ground down through the base of the spine into your seat.

Find this long length up through the spine and up through the crown of the head.

Begin to visualise a light of any colour,

It could be gold or blue,

Light or dark and see it start to form in your belly.

In Sanskrit the word for the sun is Jyoti,

So feel the light like the sun or Jyoti coming from within.

Begin to picture the light moving through your body,

Into your chest and heart and down into your arms,

Hands and fingers.

Now let the light descend into your lower limbs,

Into your hips,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves and cores,

To your feet and toes filling you up with warmth.

See how the light moves into your mind and fills your head with sunlight.

Now let the light radiate outside of your body and into the room,

Into the person who might be sitting next to you or the people in the house or the building or people in the buildings or houses next door and along the street and the surrounding area.

Allow the light to radiate outside of your body to the front,

To the back and to the sides of you.

Now as you sit the light starts to fill the room,

Fill the house,

Fill the building and connect all the bodies in the surrounding area.

See the light sift and filter its way outside of this room and into the wind and trees,

Into the waterways and mountains until it fills the entire planet.

And this light is not selective,

It moves its way through the world,

Touching and filling every sentient being until the universe is one bright light and you are part of it and it is part of you.

So sit here for a few moments longer radiating in the warm presence of this connection.

Good-bye.

Before we seal up our meditation practice today,

Let's leave our practice by setting an intention for the rest of the day,

The week,

The month ahead.

So just sit here now and tune in to see if there's anything that you want to improve in your life,

Areas that you may want to grow or explore,

You want to show or express any gratitude,

Being thankful for anyone or anything,

Or perhaps there's something you'd like to manifest into your life.

Just allow this to come up naturally and try and force it.

And if you're struggling to think of one,

It could be something as simple as I am present.

And then once you've thought of one,

Taking as long as you need,

Just beginning to repeat it a couple of times in your mind now.

And then when you're ready,

Starting to bring the hands together in front of your chest,

Let's take a full breath in through the nose and a full breath out through the mouth.

Keeping that light,

That Jyoti within you for as long as you need,

Always coming back to this meditation whenever you need.

Gently bowing the head,

Finding length in the back of the neck,

Bring your thumbs to your eyebrow centre,

Thanking yourself for your practice.

Namaste.

Loved your voice. I’ve done a very similar version of this but prefer yours. My only recommendation. Is to match the photo, which is of someone laying down, but your instruction is to be seated with the spine erect.
