Welcome to this EFT tapping meditation on grieving the old me.
And this meditation is really meant to help you process through any feelings that you might be having when you look back at that old version of you,
Whether they are good or bad.
And we're really moving to a place of just acceptance and knowing that that old you has made you who you are today.
And it is still with you.
That old version of you will always be with you.
So that is really what this tapping is meant to help you with,
To help you really get there and just appreciate whatever that old version of you had to go through to get to where you are today.
Because without that old version of you,
You would not be who you are today and who you are becoming.
So let's go ahead and get comfortable.
And we are going to begin by taking a deep breath in and out.
Now,
As we're tapping,
I want you to really think about what you are having trouble maybe processing through when you think about that old version of you.
What is it that you miss about that old version of you?
And maybe what is it that you don't miss about that old version of you?
That's what we're going to get into at the beginning of this tapping.
And then we're going to move into really just thinking about how,
You know,
That old version of us again,
Helped us to get to where we are today.
So go ahead and start tapping on the side of your hand.
Sometimes I miss the person that I used to be,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
Sometimes it's sad to think that I've changed so much,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
I know that I can miss the old me and still feel good about the person that I'm becoming.
And I love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Tap at your eyebrow.
And this is where I want you to think about those things that you miss or maybe don't miss about that old version of you.
I miss the old me sometimes.
Sometimes side of your eye.
I miss the things that they used to do.
Under your eye.
I miss the things that they used to be excited about.
Under your nose.
I miss the things that brought them joy.
Under your mouth.
And I know it's okay to miss all of that.
Collarbone.
But I'm letting go of the heaviness that I'm carrying around this.
Under your armpit.
It's okay to miss the old me and know that I'm becoming a better version of me.
Top of the head.
It's okay for me to change.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I don't miss how the old me didn't speak their truth.
Side of your eye.
I don't miss how much the old me did what others expected them to do.
Under your eye.
I don't miss how the old me hid behind others.
Under your nose.
But I also respect and love that version of me.
Under your mouth.
That version of me overcame so much.
Collarbone.
That version of me was just trying to survive.
And they did.
Under your armpit.
I owe so much to that old version of me.
Top of the head.
Without the old version of me,
I wouldn't be stepping into this new beautiful version of me.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
What if it was okay to miss the old version of me?
Side of your eye.
What if it was okay not to miss parts of the old version of me?
Under your eye.
What if anything I was feeling right now was okay?
Under your nose.
What if it was okay to miss things and still know this change is for the better?
Under your mouth.
What if I knew that it was okay to step into this new version of me?
Collarbone.
What if I knew this new version of me would find my way?
Under your armpit.
What if I knew that the old version of me would always be with me?
Top of the head.
What if I knew the new version of me encompasses all versions of me?
Take a deep breath in and out.
Top of your eyebrow.
I know that I am changing.
Side of your eye.
And I know how good this change is.
Under your eye.
I know I deserve this change.
Under your nose.
But I also know it's okay to miss the old parts of me.
Under your mouth.
But I'm bringing them with me.
Collarbone.
And I might be different now.
Under your armpit.
But those old parts of me live on within me.
Top of the head.
Those old parts of me make me,
Me.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Top at your eyebrow.
Without the parts of me that were hiding behind others.
Side of your eye.
I wouldn't be finding my voice today.
Under your eye.
I wouldn't be forming opinions that matter to me.
Under your nose.
I wouldn't be speaking my truth.
Under your mouth.
I wouldn't be unafraid to stand out.
Collarbone.
The old me wouldn't have done any of these things.
Under your armpit.
But the new me does.
And I would have never gotten here without them.
Top of the head.
The old me would have never been able to do this.
Under your nose.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your mouth.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your nose.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your mouth.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your nose.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your mouth.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your nose.
I would have never been able to do this.
Under your mouth.
The old me is newer.
Under your mouth.
I have so much love and respect for this person already.
Collarbone.
This new version of me is listening to themselves and no longer hiding behind others.
Under your armpit.
They are doing what the old version of me couldn't.
Top of the head.
And it just gets better from here.
And I fully love and accept myself.
Go ahead,
Take a deep breath in and out.
I want to thank you so much for listening to this tapping today.
And I really hope that this helped you maybe process through some things that you might be feeling about the older version of you or older versions of you because there might be many that come to mind as we're tapping today.
And the whole goal here again is to really get to that place where you know I accept and I love that old version of me no matter if you know today you're looking back and thinking like I would have made completely different decisions because you probably would have but at the same time you wouldn't be who you are today without that old version of you going through the trenches learning those lessons which essentially is very beautiful and I truly hope this helped you today and I want to thank you so much for listening.
