Welcome back to today's balancing breath practice.
My name is Nikki from True Equanimity Yoga.
Today we're going to do a practice that is balancing with an inhale of a count of four.
And an exhale of count of four.
And we're going to do 10 rounds of that.
This is a practice you can do any time during your day.
It's balancing,
So it could increase energy if you're feeling a bit flat or calm you if you're feeling a bit stressed,
Bringing you into that perfect state of being.
A balance in practice is about four to six breaths per minute and always has an equal inhale and exhale.
We breathe in and out through the nose.
And we generally do the practice seated in a chair like myself today,
Or you could be seated on the floor.
Cushion under the pelvis.
So I'm going to.
.
.
Demonstrate the breath,
And then I'll guide you through it.
So we breathe in.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Natural pause,
Breathe out.
Three,
Two,
One.
So it's just a simple inhale and exhale through the nose.
I'll guide you with the inhale,
My hand rising up and exhale.
You'll see my hand moving down.
So just sitting comfortably.
Notice the breath.
Take a few regular inhales and exhale through the nose.
Feeling settled.
Spine tall and upright.
Then we'll get started in three.
Two,
One.
Breathing in.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Lateral pause.
Breathe out.
Three,

Inhaling,

Let your breath return to its regular neutral pattern.
You might like to close the eyes if that feels comfortable.
Notice any sensations.
Notice the body,
Notice the breath.
If you're aware of any changes.
So this balancing practice.
A lovely one to do any time during the day.
So well done on continuing with your daily practice.
And we'll see you this evening.
For your relaxing practice.
