Welcome,
My name is Natalie and today we explore the fourth layer of consciousness.
We call this layer the Vijnanamaya Kosha.
This layer is all about intuition,
Imagination,
And so we're going to go on a visual journey in this Nidra today.
This Kosha or layer of consciousness relates to the air energy in that it's a more subtle layer.
So we pass through the layers in every Yoga Nidra practice.
First the physical body and then we tune our awareness to our breath body and then to our thoughts and our emotions and moving through these layers gives space to really tune into our true intuition,
To tune into the magic of our imagination.
And of course this fourth layer will make space and open the door to the fifth layer,
The bliss body,
The place of true peace.
Allow yourself to settle into a place of stillness and can you start by cultivating some curiosity,
A sense of openness for whatever you experience as you let yourself settle,
Find stillness.
Imagine a glowing orb of light around your body just like a cocoon and this soft glowing light protects you,
Creates a sense of safety around your body as you let yourself be supported.
Allow a deep heart's intention or heart's vow to rise to the surface of your thoughts.
You're welcome to use I am safe,
I am creative,
Or I am abundance.
Choose any sankalpa,
Any heart's intention that resonates with you in this moment,
Something that feels right.
And once you've found the words,
Say them to yourself quietly three times.
Allow your attention to land on your third eye center,
The space of imagination and creativity.
Imagine a star or a moon at your third eye center,
A soft glowing light perhaps similar to the one that surrounds you.
And imagine this warm glowing light twinkling and shimmering,
Starting to move through your body,
Body,
Both eyes,
Temples,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Lips,
Tongue,
Teeth,
Jaw,
Throat,
Neck,
Back,
Heart center,
Right shoulder,
Right elbow,
Wrist,
Tip of thumb,
Tip of first finger,
Tip of second finger,
Tip of third finger,
Tip of little finger,
Glowing light from your fingertips all the way up through your arm,
Right side of your chest,
Down through your waist,
Right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Sole,
Top of foot,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe,
Twinkling light in the tips of your toes all the way up through your foot,
Right leg,
And the right side of your whole body,
Glowing light come over to your left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Tip of thumb,
Tip of first finger,
Tip of second finger,
Tip of third finger,
Tip of little finger,
Light in all fingers,
Left arm,
Left side chest,
Down through your waist,
Hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Sole,
Top of left foot,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe,
Glowing light in toes,
Left leg,
And the whole left side of your body,
Imagine these stars or this moon at the tip of your tailbone twinkling and shimmering up your spine slowly,
Coming all the way up to your neck and to the crown of your head sense the energy of your breath touching this space at the crown of your head sensing into your breath and your energy centers,
Sense the crown of your head and visualize a pink peony flower,
Let your attention float down to your third eye center and imagine a purple lavender flower moving down to your throat envision a blue violet come down gently to your heart center and imagine a green hydrangea flower move down your body to the space around your ribs the solar plexus,
Imagine yellow dandelions gently down to your sacrum,
Envision an orange tulip down to your root to your tailbone,
Visualize a red rose imagining this rainbow of beautiful colored flowers from your crown onto your tailbone imagining these flowers growing,
Blooming,
Become witness to the natural life force within you begin to sense with soft yin-like energy within you,
Stillness,
Rootedness,
And groundedness tune into this moon-like energy,
Soft and dark,
Now begin to tune into the opposite energy in your body,
A yang-like energy,
Movement,
Change,
Connect again to the feelings of stillness now tune in to feelings of movement and change,
Together hold space in yourself for stillness and groundedness and change,
Allow these feelings in this current experience to fade away see yourself in your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself in a field of flowers,
Two feet,
And sense the winds of change approaching,
See all of the colors,
Breathe in the air,
You might stand in this field of beautiful flowers or you might walk or lie down,
See the flowers and the grass moving in the wind hear the branches and the leaves,
Notice what you can hear,
Notice what you can smell,
Find a sense of peace in this stillness and a sense of peace in this growth and change,
Think to the natural life cycles all around you,
Invite in these winds of change,
Guide your awareness back into your physical body,
Sensing how you feel to let this practice settle and integrate,
Please take care of yourself whether you're off to sleep or whether you're off to move through the rest of your day,
Thank you so much for spending this time with me
