Hi and welcome,
My name is Natalie and this is a short yoga nidra practice to tune in and connect to your own body and to your own consciousness.
Find a place of comfort and let your body become still.
Take any breath that you need here,
Perhaps a couple of sighs,
Before allowing your breath to settle into a natural rhythm.
And even for this shorter practice,
You can bring in a sankalpa,
A heart's vow or intention that you've been working with,
Or I invite you to use one of the following,
I am safe,
I am rested,
My nervous system is calm.
And once you've found the right words that resonate,
Say your sankalpa to yourself three times quietly.
Bring your attention to the space between your eyebrows.
As we move through the body,
You can become aware of any sensation present,
Or just simply bring your awareness to each part as we move through,
Focusing on your third eye center here.
Sense both eyebrows,
Both eyes,
Cheeks,
Nose,
Mouth,
Tongue,
Jaw,
Neck,
Right side chest,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second,
Third finger,
Little finger,
Back up through the right arm,
Left side chest,
Left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Little finger,
Sense the left arm,
Heart center,
Sense the rib cage,
Belly,
Pelvis,
Hips,
Knees,
Ankles,
Soles of the feet,
Tips of toes,
Sensing both feet,
Both legs,
Sense your back body,
And the length of your spine,
The back of your neck,
Head,
Top of the head,
Sense the right side of your body,
Now sense the left side of your body,
Again sense the right side of your body,
Sense the left side of your body,
Feel your natural breath,
Sense the place where your breath enters and exits your body,
Notice the cooler air on your inhale,
Notice the warmer air as you exhale,
Following the breath down slowly into the darker and quieter spaces of your awareness,
Visualize a sun rising over a meadow,
Clouds floating by,
Fields of gold,
A blue violet,
Fireflies twinkling at night,
A dark starry night,
The north star.
