Body Scan: The Inner Landscape
This body scan is an invitation to establish inner reference before āsana practice, or daily life begins – so that we can better attune whatever follows to our inner climate. Lying in a neutral śavāsana, we’re guided to feel our body as it is, its weight, structure, and relationship to gravity. Attention moves through bones and joint spaces, pelvis and spine, inviting a felt sense of support and inner architecture. From there, awareness softens into the tissues, organs, and fluids of the body. The belly becomes a pond, the breath a gentle wave, the heart resting quietly between the lungs. Sensation, circulation, and the subtle movement of prāṇa are allowed to reveal themselves. We’re invited to notice energy, emotion, and the quality of attention present without analysis or story. This is a practice of deep listening.
