Hi there,
I'm Kianna Adamir from Mysore Yoga Paris.
These droplets designed to support you in your practice are a collaboration between myself and sound artist Jotam Agam.
They're best experienced listening with headphones.
Thank you so much for joining us.
Let's close our eyes.
I invite you to take a posture that holds the inner qualities of being awake and at ease.
Awake and at ease.
Sthira Sukhana.
And use the sense of gravity in your body to anchor yourself in this moment.
To take your seat.
Fully take your seat.
Inhabit your seat.
Inhabit this body.
With all its aches and its pleasures.
Making a conscious decision that this moment is worthy of your full attention.
At this moment there is nothing that you need to change.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
But you can just allow yourself to drop into your body.
To drop into your breath.
And bringing a kind gentle presence to your breath.
Releasing any tension around the eyes.
Allowing the outer corners of the eyes to soften.
Perhaps even lift a little as if you're inviting a soft smile into your eyes.
Releasing any tension around the jaw.
Allowing your lips to soften.
Consider the possibility of a half smile like the Buddha.
Inviting our entire nervous system to let go a little bit.
To soften.
Rolling the shoulder heads back and down to create space for your heart.
Sensing the breath moving in and out of your heart.
And listening into your heart.
Opening up to what is here.
Opening up to what is actually real.
If your mind wanders off into projections of the future.
Worrying,
Planning,
Organising.
Or if it reclines back into the past.
This also belongs.
There's nothing wrong with this.
But very gently you can shepherd your attention back.
Into your body and into your breath.
To the nowness of the sensations of breathing.
Make your practice very simple.
Sensing the weight of your own hands resting on your knees.
Feeling its weight.
The warmth.
The healing available in the palms of your own hands resting on your knees.
Allowing the belly to soften.
Sensing how the breath very naturally moves your belly.
There's nothing you need to do.
Just allowing your body to be breathing all on its own.
Taking a moment to appreciate this miracle that is your own life breath.
Moving in and out of your body.
The breath being the bridge between the body and the mind.
Breath being the bridge between our inner world and the outer.
Allowing that bridge to be open.
When we practice we're not closing down.
We're not controlling our mind.
But we are fully awake.
Fully alive.
Fully here.
Senses wide open.
Recognizing yourself here with others.
And tapping into that precious energy of your Sangha.
Of your community.
All listening to align with heart.
And as one heart we open ourselves even further to include all beings in all forms strung together on the thread of the breath.
Inviting all beings into our heart.
And it's with that wider inclusive consciousness that we bring our hands together in front of our heart.
And we chant the mantra OM,
The sound current of connectedness three times.
Inhaling into the heart.
OM,
The sound current of connectedness three times.
Please turn around and take Shavasana.
Please turn around and take Shavasana.
Please turn around and take Shavasana.
Please turn around and take Shavasana.
