Please take a comfortable seat,
Either on a chair or on the floor.
Wherever your body feels at ease and free to float today.
Close your eyes if that feels safe and comforting for you.
Feel the ground beneath you gently supporting your body with softness and presence.
Let your spine rise naturally,
As if gently floating upward from your pelvis,
Long,
Spacious and fluid.
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your jaw and allow your whole body to soften.
Gently bring your awareness to your breath,
Feeling it flow in and out.
Like a gentle wave rising and falling in your lower belly and pelvis.
Let's take a few conscious breaths together.
Inhale deeply through the nose,
And sigh it out through the mouth.
Again,
Long,
Deep inhale,
And exhale,
Letting go of any tension,
Any holding.
Now,
Allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm,
Flowing gently in and out through your nose,
Moving softly through your lower belly and pelvis,
Like a wave rising and falling within you.
If you'd like,
You can place a hand on your lower belly and connect.
Feel the breath,
Sense spaciousness,
Softness and flow unfolding in your inner waters.
Take a moment to listen inward and gently set an intention for our chanting practice today.
Is there something your body or soul longs for?
Perhaps more flow,
Emotional balance,
Pleasure or creative freedom?
Or is there something you're ready to release?
Maybe stuck emotions,
Self-judgment,
Control or shame?
Hold your intention gently in your heart and feel it flowing into your pelvis,
Like a ripple of cold water just flowing down.
Before we dive into chanting,
Let's connect a little bit deeper with the energy we are working with today.
The sacral chakra,
Called Sarasthana in Sanskrit,
Sits in the center of your pelvis,
Just below your navel.
It's your energetic center of emotion,
Pleasure,
Creativity and flow.
This chakra governs how we feel,
Relate and express ourselves emotionally,
Sensually and creatively.
It's where we connect with our inner waters and the rhythms of life.
And when the sacral chakra is in harmony,
We feel fluid,
Open,
Joyful and connected to ourselves,
Others and the pleasure of being alive.
When it's out of balance,
We may feel emotionally numb,
Disconnected from joy,
Creatively blocked or caught in shame,
Guilt or control.
The sound Vam helps to awaken and harmonize the sacral chakra.
The vibration of Vam supports emotional release,
Inner movement and reconnection with our natural flow.
As we chant today,
You might imagine a soft orange light glowing in your pelvic space,
Moving like gentle waves or spirals through your lower body.
You can also visualize a lotus with six orange petals gently opening with each vibration.
There's no right or wrong experience.
Simply allow the sound to ripple through you and trust the intelligence of your inner waters.
Before we begin,
Let me guide you through how we chant Vam.
It starts with the soft vibrating V sound,
So you can really feel it on your lips.
Allow it to vibrate and the V sound is followed by an open flowing ah and a gentle humming mm.
I'll also play the singing bowl now so we can find the right tone together.
Let the sound help you drop deeper into your body and feel supported by the earth.
Let's try chanting Vam together three times,
Allowing the sound to ripple gently through your body.
Let's inhale deeply.
Feel the vibration flowing in your lower belly,
Hips and pelvis like gentle waves of sound.
Let's take a soft breath here.
Notice how the sound and vibration move through you.
And when you're ready,
We will flow into the full chanting together,
Flowing with the sound of Vam.
Let the sound flow naturally.
There's no need to worry about pace or counting.
Simply follow your breath and the rhythm that feels fluid and natural for you.
Whenever you feel ready,
Allow the mantra to rise from your breath,
Flowing softly and freely like gentle waves in your inner waters.
Take a deep inhale.
Feel the vibration moving through your body.
Imagine a soft orange glow in your lower belly,
Radiating outward like waves on water.
You may begin to let your sounds become softer and even let go of the words entirely,
Simply listening to the quiet rhythm of your breath,
The soft inner resonance,
And the flowing sound of the singing bowl,
Peaceful fluid space within you.
Let's rest in silence for a few moments.
Feel the echoes of the chanting and the soft vibration of the singing bowl.
Notice any sensations,
Emotions or movements within you,
Perhaps warmth,
Spaciousness or a quiet flow.
Feel your connection to your emotional body,
Your creativity,
Your inner waters,
Allow yourself to be held gently,
Lovingly in this fluid space of presence.
Wanna put the hand on your lower belly and your heart.
Just connect and feel.
Now gently allow your breath to deepen.
Slowly coming back.
Bring your hands gently together in front of your heart.
Let's close with an intention.
May we move through this day with softness and flow,
Honoring our emotions,
Our creativity and the pleasure of being alive.
Gently rub your palms together and place them softly over your closed eyes.
Open your eyes to the warmth and soft darkness of your palms and then slowly lower your hands.
Feel free to stretch and come back.
Feel free to do whatever your body wants to do right now.
Listen to your inner wisdom,
Stay connected.
Thank you for joining.
I wish you a wonderful day,
Evening or night,
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
