In this practice, we will be sharing loving-kindness energy toward ourselves and toward others. In order to share loving kindness with others, we must start within ourselves. This meditation will guide us on a journey to finding love, peace, joy and harmony within ourselves and with others in which we may see or those in which have an effect on our lives each day.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.

Today this meditation will focus on cultivating loving-kindness toward ourselves and toward others.

So find yourself coming into a quiet place in a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.

And as you come into this comfortable place go ahead now and close through the eyes bringing awareness to the breath just checking in with how you feel at this moment in time.

Just being a witness to this present moment and everything in it.

Bringing the awareness into this moment by following the breath on the inhale feeling the ribcage rise and on the exhale feeling the ribcage fall.

Continuing with this steady flow of the breath on the inhale and the exhale and allowing each breath here to bring you into an even deeper state of relaxation.

Preparing the body and the mind for this meditation.

Now take the awareness to the physical body from the top of the head all the way down to the tips of the toes.

Just letting everything relax and feeling fully supported here of each breath.

Relaxing into the eyes into the jaw keeping a nice space in between the teeth into the neck and the shoulders letting the weight just melt away into the chest and the abdomen creating a nice space for the breath to flow in and out into the hips and the legs arms hands feet fingers and toes just letting everything fully and completely relax here.

Now from here let's bring the awareness to the heart center.

Feeling the energy here at the heart center.

It's where we create loving kindness energy.

So imagine here that through each breath we create this light this beautiful white light of love peace and harmony within us and allowing this light to heal any darkness any negative energy anything that is no longer serving us allowing this light to shine to all of those places.

And as we allow this surrender of this energy just feeling nothing but love peace joy and happiness in this moment surrendering all the darkness and opening ourselves up to more light.

And as you create this stronger sense of love peace joy and harmony act as if you can take this energy of your heart and surround yourself with this energy and imagine you're saying to yourself may I be safe may I be well may I find peace and not suffer sharing this loving kindness energy with yourself before we have to share love kindness compassion toward ourselves before we can share it with anyone else.

So forgiving ourselves showing that compassion and empathy toward ourselves and imagining you're saying to yourself may I be safe may I be well may I find peace and not suffer.

And as you say these words to yourself feeling an even deeper state of calm deeper state of joy and love within you.

Now we're gonna take this loving kindness energy and we're gonna start to share it with others.

So from the energy of our heart now let's focus on an individual in our lives who bring us great joy.

Someone who we want to share this loving kindness energy with and imagine as if this person was standing right in front of you and you're offering this loving light energy toward them and imagine as if you're saying to them may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And connecting your loving kindness energy from your heart to theirs.

Feeling this even deeper state of love peace joy and harmony as you connect with their loving kindness energy.

Offering your loving kindness toward them and again saying may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And just taking a quiet moment here sharing this energy with your loved one.

Now we're gonna take this loving kindness energy we're gonna share it with a neutral person in our lives.

Maybe a person we might not know intimately but somebody we might see quite often.

Can be anyone you think of that might not be family or friend but somebody you see about your journeys each day or maybe a few times a week and just picturing this person in your mind and imagine as if you're talking to them and you're going to share your loving kindness energy toward them saying may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

So sharing this loving kindness in your heart and sharing it with everyone every being even those we don't really know very well.

And imagine that person saying may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And again taking a quiet moment just absorbing this energy as you share yours bringing nothing but loving kindness energy back in return toward you.

And now we're gonna bring our focus toward an individual in our lives either past or present who have been very difficult in our lives.

And imagine this person in front of you and we may not want to share loving kindness toward this person because they might have hurt us deeply.

But in order to remain a being of love and light we have to share love and light with everybody.

Healing ourselves through sharing this loving kindness energy and imagining this individual saying may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And as hard as it may seem to say these words to this person know that nothing but love and light will return towards you even greater when we can share it toward those who have hurt us making our own peace and saying to them may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

Perhaps the greatest thing to share love even toward our enemies.

And the universe will promise to give you nothing but loving kindness energy in return.

No love ever goes unrecognized.

Now we're going to imagine the community in which we live in and all the surroundings of the community and all the people that live within our community that do jobs each day to make our life a little easier.

Maybe the trucks that deliver groceries to the grocery store for us to have food or the people who make our coffee each day we go.

And all the things that go around us in our community which we don't know everybody that does it but everybody does a job to bring a stronger sense of ease into our lives and without them we might feel unsupported.

So just imagining all the individuals in your community and saying to them may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

Sharing your loving-kindness energy with everybody that does things all around to bring this life from where we live and create what it is.

Saying to them may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And then from here let's go ahead and imagine the entire world all 7.

5 billion people living in this world.

Every living being from the smallest of insects to the grandest of animals.

All the living beings,

Plants,

All the people.

Just imagining in your mind this whole entire world and sharing your loving light energy saying may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

Even sharing your loving light and kindness toward the areas of the world in which we feel there's no hope there is no love or there's might be war and sadness.

And sharing your loving-kindness and compassion toward the whole world and those that need it most and saying to them may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.

And imagine as if every living being in this world can return that loving-kindness energy back toward you and receiving this energy for yourself to create the strongest sense of love,

Peace,

Joy and harmony within you.

And taking the awareness back to your heart now feeling full,

Feeling complete,

Feeling this loving-kindness energy all around you.

As we start to return gently moving through the fingers and toes bringing the awareness back but bringing back with us love,

Peace,

Joy,

Harmony.

As we gently open the eyes may I offer you this may you be safe may you be well may you find peace and not suffer.
