Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
Today this meditation will focus on changing negative thought patterns into thought patterns that are more positive and productive.
So find yourself coming into a comfortable place,
Either sitting or lying down,
And in a place where you will not be disturbed for the next several minutes.
Now as you come into this space,
Close through the eyes,
Bringing awareness to the breath and checking in with how you feel at this moment in time.
And as you check in,
Just observe without judging,
Without expecting anything,
Just being a witness to this present moment.
And as you bring the awareness into this moment,
Let's take awareness to the breath.
On the inhale,
Feeling the ribcage rise,
And on the exhale allowing the ribcage to fall.
Just following the awareness with the steady rhythm of the breath on each inhale and exhale.
And allowing each breath here to release any tension,
Any worries,
Any cares,
Just allowing it all to be released here through the breath,
So that the mind can be still and clear.
And then from here,
Let's go ahead now and focus on the physical body.
From the top of the head all the way down to the tips of the toes,
Just allowing the entire body to be fully and completely relaxed here,
Breath by breath.
Relaxing the eyes,
Relaxing the jaw,
Keeping a nice space in between the teeth,
Relaxing the neck and the shoulders,
Into the chest and the abdomen,
Creating a nice space for breath to flow.
Relaxing the hips and the legs,
Arms,
Hands,
Feet,
Fingers and toes,
Just allowing the entire body to be at rest and finding stillness in the mind.
And as you start to relax,
I'm going to guide you through some images to bring the awareness through these images in the mind's eye as I say them.
Starting with a red rose,
A stream running through a forest,
A golden sunrise,
Pine trees in the winter snow,
A clear blue sky,
A fluttering butterfly,
A beautiful lotus flower,
Tall rocky mountains,
A full moon in the night sky,
A burning candle,
A gentle kiss,
A blue songbird singing a song,
Birds soaring in the sky,
The sound of the breath,
A sandy beach,
Ocean waves crashing upon the shore,
A fuzzy bumblebee,
A gentle breeze,
A piano playing a tune,
Clouds floating in the sky,
A white dove,
And the sound of the breath,
Bringing awareness to the breath,
Feeling at ease and at peace,
Feeling fully and completely relaxed in this moment.
And now that you're relaxed,
Let's bring the awareness to the thoughts,
Allowing the thoughts to run through your mind without judgment,
Just observing what these thoughts may be.
Looking here if there's any pattern of thought or a common theme,
Without trying to change anything,
Just noticing,
Allowing and releasing to the next thought.
And as you notice all of these thoughts,
Let's go ahead now and bring awareness to a thought that stands out the most in this moment.
And taking that thought,
Create a scene in your mind's eye of what this thought may look like without trying to change anything,
Just observing who might be there,
Where it is you may be,
And how you may feel from this thought.
And allowing these images,
Noises to surface,
Just observing how the thought makes you feel.
And allowing the feelings and sensations of this thought to flow through you without holding on or trying to change anything just yet.
Being in the physical body of any changes or emotionally how you may feel from this thought.
Taking this thought as if you're an observer watching a movie and allowing everything to play out.
And now we're going to take this thought and change it.
What would you like to change in this thought,
In this image,
In this scene in your mind?
Maybe changing the outcome in your mind to what you would like to see manifest.
Creating a scene of positive images now,
The things you would like to see change in this thought.
And again,
Just being the witness and observer to all these changes around you,
Just by changing the thought to a more positive one.
Creating this scene in your mind.
And then taking notice of how you might feel with these changes.
Taking notice of the physical body if there's any changes to the breath.
Or if there's any changes emotionally of how you may feel.
If everything manifested for your greater good.
How you may feel if everything in this scene is in alignment with your goals,
With your dreams.
Being in alignment with your highest self,
Connecting to your soul.
And living in this everlasting flow of the universe.
And connecting to the infinite being in which you were created to be.
And keeping this thought now in your heart.
And let it remain there for a while.
Taking it with you throughout your day,
Throughout the week.
For as long as you need to,
Always come back and visit this scene when the thoughts start to change toward the negative.
And then from here,
Bringing the awareness back to the breath on the inhale and the exhale.
Allowing any thoughts now to come back into the mind.
And bringing yourself back into the present moment by just moving the physical body gently.
Moving through the fingers and toes,
Bringing the awareness back to this moment.
And as we start to finish today,
Gently opening the eyes,
Starting new.
Ready to continue on your path in this wonderful life.
