Hello,
And welcome to this meditation.
Today this meditation will focus on following the breath through the body and connecting to prana or life force energy.
So finding yourself coming into a quiet,
Comfortable place.
And as you come into this place,
Go ahead and close through the eyes,
Bringing awareness to the breath,
Just checking in with how you feel this very moment in time,
Connecting you into this present moment and all there is in this moment.
And relaxing the body from the top of the head all the way down to the tips of the toes,
Just letting everything relax.
Feeling supported here as we start to relax with each breath.
And on the inhale,
Feeling the breath flow in through the nose,
Filling up all the way into the belly.
And on the exhale,
Allowing the breath to flow from the belly out through the nose.
Following this nice steady rhythm of the breath,
Letting it be your guide.
Letting it keep the mind still,
Maybe taking the awareness to the breath on the inhale,
Saying in your mind,
I am inhaling.
And on the exhale,
Saying,
I am exhaling,
Bringing that focus with each and every breath,
Exploring the breath as it flows into the lungs and the exhale.
Maybe exploring the pauses in between the breaths.
On the inhale and the exhale,
Noticing the pause.
And on the exhale,
And the next inhale,
Noticing all the spaces of the breath.
Now let's go ahead and count the breath backwards from 27 down to the number one.
And in your mind,
Counting each breath on the inhale and the exhale,
27.
On the inhale and the next exhale,
26.
And on the inhale and the next exhale,
25 and so on,
Counting down toward the number one.
Surrendering to an even deeper state of relaxation,
Breath by breath,
Allowing to release and let go.
Having an even deeper state of consciousness here.
If you should tend to the train of thought,
What number you're on,
Starting back at the number 27.
Each breath brings us even deeper,
Even deeper to serenity.
Now from here,
Let's go ahead and pause the counting of the breath.
We're going to follow the breath now through the lungs.
So imagine as if the breath had a color.
And it could be any color you needed to be any color you can imagine.
Your color brings love and comfort and healing in your mind.
And on the next inhale,
Imagine this breath and this color flowing into the right upper part of the lung.
Just focusing on that right upper part,
Sending healing energy into the right upper part of the chest.
Having this nourishing oxygen just to flow into this place.
Breath by breath as we follow in and follow it out.
And then on the next breath,
Let's send the breath to the right lower part of the lung.
And again,
Just nourishing energy with each breath,
Healing into this space,
Bringing our awareness and our focus to this part of the chest.
Following the breath,
Flowing in and flowing out.
Now let's take the awareness to the entire right lung.
Imagine as if the breath were just filling up into this space in the right side of the chest,
Flowing in and flowing out.
Bringing in even more oxygen into the body,
Finding this purification.
And then on the next inhale,
We're going to take our breath and follow it to the left upper part of the chest now,
The left upper lung.
Allowing the breath to flow in freely into this space,
Imagining the oxygen filling up the lung.
And then taking that breath to the left lower part of the lung now on the left side of the chest,
Feeling the breath flow into this space,
Breath by breath,
Finding that expansion into these areas of the lung.
And then taking that next breath and filling the entire left lung completely,
Expanding the left side of the chest.
Deeper state of relaxation,
Breath by breath here and healing.
And then taking the next breath,
Let's fill the entire lungs,
Both sides.
Feeling the breath deep toward the belly and a nice peaceful exhale as we flow in,
Sipping the air and flow out relaxation,
Fully nourishing the body,
Healing,
Finding comfort and ease,
Breath by breath here.
Let's take the awareness to the muscle underneath the lungs called the diaphragm muscle.
And then following this muscle as it contracts,
Allowing the breath to flow into the lungs and as it relaxes on the exhale,
Allowing the air to release,
Following this state of allowing and releasing.
Taking a few breaths here,
Just feeling that muscle work,
Giving us life breath by breath.
Now we're going to follow the breath.
Even as if the breath were pulling up through the tailbone toward the crown of the head on the inhale.
And then from the crown of the head all the way back down through the tailbone on the exhale,
Following this flow of prana or life force energy that flows through each of the seven chakras,
Starting with the root chakra,
The tailbone,
Flowing all the way through the crown chakra at the top of the head.
As the breath connects through each of the seven chakras,
Allowing this energy to flow freely through each one.
Allowing this openness in this space of this energy to flow through us.
Connecting to our inner wisdom,
Our inner guide,
The life force of the universe and the essence of who we truly are in this moment with just our breath.
As we keep the mind quiet,
We can connect more to this inner state of being,
Allowing the outside world just to remain still and quiet so we can connect to this inner voice,
This inner wisdom.
Starting with the universal flow and finding more love,
Peace,
Joy and harmony in this moment.
Where nothing else matters and in that everything is found.
So let's go ahead and let the breath be natural.
Without thinking of it too much,
Just being in the moment with the breath and checking in with the breath,
If anything has shifted or changed from when we first began.
Just witnessing this life,
This energy in this moment.
For without the breath,
We would no longer exist,
Showing gratitude for each and every breath we've been given here to live another day,
To express ourselves and to find that essence of our soul.
And taking yourself back into the present moment by just listening and observing to some of the noises from around you in your space,
Allowing the thoughts to flow back into this moment.
Gently moving through the fingers and toes,
Bringing the awareness back to the body.
And then from here in your own time,
Whenever you're ready,
You can gently open the eyes,
Fully bringing you back into this present moment.
Finding peace,
Love,
Joy and harmony,
May you connect with your inner self to see the beautiful things in life.
