In this discussion, I will be talking about happiness and the barriers that may prevent us from finding happiness in our lives. I will discuss how to focus on our thoughts and see the thoughts as vibrational energy that can either lift our spirits or deplete us, leaving sadness.

Hello,

And thank you for joining me on this discussion about happiness today.

Oftentimes happiness is a feeling that we search for and we usually bring the search outside of ourselves,

Out of our own being.

We look for other people,

For situations,

For material possessions to bring us happiness into our lives.

But when we try to fulfill our happiness from the outside,

We often feel like we're always searching.

Nothing ever makes us feel complete and our efforts seem never-ending.

Always searching,

Always placing happiness into the future.

And in order to find happiness,

We have to look within,

To fill a space from within.

Why we're not happy.

As I sat down for my morning meditation,

I started out in sadness.

Happiness is a lower vibrational energy along with fear,

Anger,

Guilt,

And shame.

After about 20 minutes into meditating,

Something called out to me.

Something called out and said,

Sadness is the absence of happiness.

Well,

We all know this to be true,

But most of the time we focus on why we are sad.

And when we focus on the things that make us sad,

The universe has no choice but to vibrationally align us with more things that make us sad.

The key here is to focus on what brings you into vibrational alignment with whatever it is you lack,

As in happiness in my case.

I always teach my students that whatever it is we lack,

We always search outside of ourselves for the solution.

But we have to realize that unless we raise our vibrational energy from within first,

There will be nothing outside of ourselves that will ever complete the void of energy in which we are missing on the inside.

It is when we can be still long enough to control the mind stuff,

We feel the essence of our true self.

When we can silence the ego and learn how to feel in relation to lower versus higher vibrational energy,

We learn how to adjust the mind stuff to satisfy the energy we are seeking.

We have to see activities,

Thoughts,

Relationships as either energy enhancing or energy depleting.

When we look at energy in this way,

We can then take the appropriate action within us to adjust accordingly by changing our perceptions of where we want to focus our energy toward.

So if we would like to bring more happiness into our lives,

Focusing on the things that make us happy in the moment.

If something is not vibrationally aligned with us in that moment and bringing sadness,

It is the absence of happiness because we are not focusing our perceptions on happiness.

So we can change our thoughts to direct our perceptions to more things that are happy for us.

It might not be easy at first to change the mind stuff,

Especially if we feel like there is a lot to be said about it.

We might not feel there is any happiness.

But then again that goes from the perception of looking on the outside to fulfill the void,

To replace the sadness.

So trying to focus on the good.

Even if it is just the breath,

We are focusing on the heartbeats and life in which we are given.

Just taking that moment to clear the mind from any negativity so thoughts of happiness can replace the sadness.

So when you have anger,

Look within and find the things that bring peace.

When you have hate,

Look within to the things that bring love.

When you are afraid,

Look within to find courage and strength.

When you have sadness,

Focus on the happiness.

Let all that you seek come from your senses and what you focus your attention on will lift your vibration.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om Peace Om Peace.

May you have peace in your hearts for the rest of your lives.

For the spirit in me bows to and respects the spirit in you and all living beings.

And thank you for joining me.

Namaste.
