Welcome.
This meditation is an invitation to rest.
Not in doing,
Not in striving,
But in pure beingness.
Allow yourself to settle in,
Closing your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Take a few gentle breaths,
Letting the body soften with each exhale.
Meditation is an opportunity to rest in your most fundamental nature,
Which is pure beingness.
We cannot be being if we are doing.
So here,
There's nothing to fix,
Nothing to change,
Nothing to accomplish,
Just being.
You may notice the body,
The breath,
The presence of awareness itself.
Allow yourself to rest here,
Simply being.
In this resting,
There can be a sense of shifting from being a thing into being no thing,
From identifying with all the doing and becoming into simply resting in what is.
As you rest in beingness,
You may notice thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations.
You don't need to resist or chase them,
Just notice and let them float by like clouds in the sky.
Sometimes what arises in this space may feel uncomfortable,
Even hard or scary.
Here,
In pure beingness,
There is room to hold it all,
Room to allow without needing to push it away.
Beingness is the spaciousness that holds everything,
And you are that.
As you rest more deeply,
Notice how this beingness is both familiar,
Like the essence of your self,
And also vast,
Infinitely bigger,
More expansive,
More encompassing.
Pure beingness has no shape,
No boundary,
And yet it can be felt,
And that felt sense of it is love,
Love for all of it.
Rest here for a few more breaths,
Allowing yourself to soak in the spaciousness of being,
And when you're ready,
Gently bring awareness back to your body,
The room around you,
Carrying with you the remembrance that at any moment,
You can rest in pure beingness.
Thanks for being here.
