Welcome to this circuit breaker that uses touch and movement to refocus the attention.
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Place two fingers on each temple gently and just make small circles resting your attention on the place your fingers touch your face.
How does that movement that sensation of touch feel?
In your own time you can move up across your hairline and forehead and back down the outside of your face to your jaw.
If other thoughts arise or your attention turns elsewhere that's okay.
You can follow your attention wherever you need for a while.
You can do two things at once just knowing you can return your attention to the place where your hands touch your face at any time.
You might like to move across your nose,
Your cheeks.
Notice how the movement in your parts of your body changes as you touch different parts of your face.
Just resting your attention on that point of contact.
You might like to experiment with making circles that are bigger or smaller,
Soft or firm.
Trust your instincts of what's right for you now.
Back and forth,
Long chin,
Jaw,
Rounded neck,
Up and rounded face.
When you're ready,
Slowly lower your hands and notice the sensations in stillness.
In your own time you can open your eyes and return to your day.
