Hello friend,
I'm so glad that you're here.
We begin by finding a quiet place where we can sit comfortably.
And then you may choose to close your eyes.
And if you do,
I invite you to now close your eyes and to notice what your body feels like right now where you are.
Notice what your back feels like as it sits up tall,
Tall like a mountain.
Notice what your hands feel like as they rest and sit still.
Your hands are always so busy helping you live your life and pick things up and eat things.
What do your hands feel like as they simply rest?
We breathe in and as we breathe in,
We allow ourselves to relax just a little bit more.
As we breathe in,
We allow ourselves to relax a little bit.
As we breathe in,
We become steady and strong and still like a mountain.
And we notice what our body feels like.
Notice your feet,
Your legs.
Notice what your arms feel like as they are resting a little bit.
You may notice tingling.
You may notice that it feels light and breezy and easy.
You might notice that it feels tight somewhere.
Just allow all of these feelings to be there because they are a part of you.
When we breathe and just let ourselves be here and be still.
Whenever you're ready,
Place both hands over your heart,
One on top of the other.
And then say these things to yourself inside your mind as we say them together.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy.
May I be happy.
May I be loved.
Imagine now that you are looking at yourself.
Maybe you're looking in a mirror and looking at yourself.
This might feel kind of weird at first because we don't do this a lot.
It can feel kind of new and when things are new sometimes they feel weird.
But see if you can say these kind things to yourself.
We breathe in,
Relaxing a little bit where we are.
As we say again to ourselves,
May I be safe.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be loved.
May I be safe.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be loved.
Now as you breathe in,
Imagine somebody who you care about.
Someone that you love.
And imagine that you are sending them love as we say to ourselves.
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be loved.
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be loved.
We can now take our hands and rest them once again where they were.
And breathe in and just relax a little bit where we are.
And I like to turn my smile into a gentle smile.
So keeping your eyes closed,
Still just check in with your face and see if you can put a gentle smile on your face.
And now we're going to sit and just breathe together and just notice what we feel in our body.
Any feelings that we feel are okay because they are a part of us and we can smile at those things.
Smile at anything you notice in your mind or in your body.
Can you notice where in your body feels warm?
Can you smile at the places in your body that feel warm?
Can you notice where in your body feels light and bright?
Can you smile at the places in your body that feel light and bright?
Breathe in and as you breathe in,
Imagine that you are sending smiles to yourself all throughout your body.
Breathing in and sending smiles to your face.
Breathing in and sending smiles to your heart and to your arms and to your hands.
Sending smiles down your legs,
Into your feet.
Your body does so much work for you throughout the day.
Take just a moment to thank yourself and to thank your body and to feel yourself giving you a smile.
My friends,
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be loved.
Thank you for being here.
