Let's talk about loneliness.
It's something we all feel at times,
Even when life seems full.
You might be surrounded by people yet still feel a kind of emptiness,
A quiet sense that no one really sees the whole of you.
And that can feel incredibly isolating.
But loneliness doesn't always mean that something's wrong.
It might just be an invitation to turn inward,
Reconnect with the one person who's always with you,
Yourself.
So let's pause for a moment,
Take a soft breath in and gently let it go.
Feeling yourself settle in,
Feeling the quiet in this space.
There's no need to change anything.
We're just being here.
Sometimes when we give ourselves the care and attention that we often seek from others,
Something shifts.
We begin to feel a little less abandoned,
A little more at home in our own company.
And then from that place,
Connection with others begins to feel less desperate.
It starts to feel more true.
As Wayne Dyer once said,
You cannot be lonely if you like the person that you're alone with.
And that's a beautiful reminder that the path through loneliness might start with befriending ourselves.
So today,
See if you can offer yourself the same warmth and curiosity that you'd offer to someone that you love.
Because guess what?
You deserve that too.
Thank you so much for joining me.
