Welcome to Meditation Tides with Michelle Sanctuary,

Where the tides of your imagination change your current state of being.

You are listening to The Forest Oasis,

A guided meditation for migraine and headache relief.

I am Michelle and as you listen,

Let the sound waves of my voice soothe away the edges of pain.

Feel these waves washing over your frayed nerves,

Easing them into a state of surrender and peace.

It may not be easy to do right now,

But get as comfortable as you can,

Settling into a space where you can focus on you.

Inhale as deeply as you can.

I know it's a bit more challenging to take a deep breath when your body is tense,

So ease into it as slowly as you need to and then exhale.

Sink into the safety and the sanctuary of your room.

Inhale again,

This time imagining a soothing aquamarine light coursing through your body,

Cooling,

Numbing,

And healing.

And then exhale,

Surrendering to the promise this wave of light brings.

It makes you feel weightless,

As if floating in a lagoon.

One more time,

Inhale,

Sipping in each oxygen molecule as though it is a healing tonic.

Your cells communicate with one another,

Spreading the message to calm down.

Exhale and usher out any trapped energy that aggravates your current state.

Each breath allows you to go deeper into relaxation,

Untangling knots of tension,

Releasing radiating pain.

Now imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a shaded path,

Winding through a serene forest of eucalyptus trees.

Mountains surround the wooded area,

Offering clean,

Crisp alpine air that is the ideal temperature.

The gentle breeze carries the minty notes of eucalyptus soothing the heat of inflammation.

With every inhale and exhale,

With each step,

The essence of the forest invigorates your senses with an unexpected solve.

As you follow the path,

You arrive at a breathtaking sight.

A waterfall flowing behind a modern cabin,

Nestled within the woods.

Your bare feet land on the mossy carpet that winds through the trees.

Around the cabin,

The soles and arches of your feet become grounded in its cool plushness.

The babbling sounds of the water hypnotize you,

Lulling you with their tranquilizing melody.

Wild lavender gardens grow around the waterfall,

Perfuming the air with a calming scent and adding vibrant purple hues.

The canopy of lush trees provides tranquil shade beneath the dark,

Cool shadows.

Your eyes begin to soften and your face relaxes.

You approach the waterfall,

Drawn to the crystalline turquoise water,

Cascading down glistening ebony rocks,

Smoothed by time.

You notice everything in the immediate vicinity offers a sense of smoothness and softness.

The waterfall forms a pool of deep blue water that beckons to you.

You dip your big toe in first,

Enticed by the lukewarm temperature of the silky pool.

You step into the water slowly,

Feeling it inching up your legs,

Your hips,

And your torso as you begin to float effortlessly.

You peer up at the dark green leaves and lush evergreen branches that provide overhead shelter.

The current guides you towards the waterfall,

Gently and reassuringly.

You feel safe.

You trust the healing powers of this sacred spot so far away from the noise and expectations of modern life.

There is nothing to do but relax.

Your head naturally finds a smooth rock that supports your neck as the cool,

Refreshing,

Turquoise waterfall massages the crown of your head.

The contrast between the crisp temperature of the waterfall and the tepid water of the pool aligns with your needs perfectly.

The waterfall carries a hint of eucalyptus and as it touches your scalp and forehead,

You experience a tingling,

Mentholated sensation on the crown of your head and temples.

You embrace this coolness.

Every muscle is numbed and softens as the cascade eases your pain.

Each droplet of water dials down the volume of your discomfort.

As you indulge in this natural massage,

You imagine the cool sensations sending a message to your nerve cells,

Encouraging them to stand down and relax.

You connect with your nervous system as the messages are delivered.

You thank these cells for their vigilance in alerting you with pain signals.

They have done their job and now that you have acknowledged their message,

They can take a break.

Visualize each nerve cell retreating to its own cozy cabin in the forest,

Taking the holiday that it has earned.

You imagine your nerve cells are like townspeople communicating with one another with a singular goal of helping you rest.

Continue to relax and heal in the quietude of this forest oasis.

You close your eyes and feel the soft,

Cool pulse of the cascade as water drops land on your eyes and stream down your cheeks.

The cool reprieve and tingling sensation is replaced by numbness.

You revel in the quietude deep within as your internal world finds comfort and peace.

Floating,

Weightless,

You drift away to a world where you feel good,

Where your body is completely soothed,

Healed,

And able to rest.

Feeling much better,

You slowly rise out of the water as if in suspended animation.

The water travels down your body,

Continuing to soothe.

You gather a folded towel from a nearby bench made of knotted wood and wrap it around you like a cocoon.

The freshly laundered towel reminds you of the softness of this haven.

Your mind wanders,

Exploring all the softness to be found.

You feel the softness of the earth beneath your bare feet,

The softness in your muscles,

Massaged by the pull of the tepid waves,

The softness of the whispering breeze that kisses your bare skin,

Evaporating droplets of water.

You walk towards the cabin,

Feeling as though you are hovering above the earth,

Moving with grace and fluidity.

You enter the modern dwelling with lofty ceilings and exposed wooden beams that support a series of ceiling fans.

The cool mountain air circulates throughout the dim space,

Lit only by the softest of golden fairy lights strung across the beams.

You enter a bedroom meticulously designed to meet your preferences and needs right now.

Sheer curtains billow gently by the floor-to-ceiling windows,

Creating a feeling of lightness.

The cool fresh air flows through the screens behind open French doors.

The soft rustle of branches and the whoosh of ceiling fans lull you into a state of peace with their soft white noise.

A crystal vase of fresh eucalyptus sits on the bedside table,

Releasing its calming aroma into the air.

You sink into the comforts of the bed,

Feeling its support cradle you.

The pillows are cool,

The sheets are crisp and breathable.

Allow yourself to let go completely,

Healing one moment at a time as each breath carries relaxation and renewal.

As you rest in the cozy bed,

You have the option to let yourself drift into a peaceful sleep,

Allowing the healing to continue in your dreams.

Enduring slumber,

Your nervous system may restore itself completely.

Alternately,

When you're ready,

You can gradually bring yourself back to the present moment,

Feeling refreshed and at ease.

Whatever you choose to do,

Be slow and intentional.

There is no rush.

Your healing is the priority.

Embrace this moment of calm and restoration,

Just the wisdom of your body as it signals to you when it is time to slow down and rest.

And over time,

You may learn to hear its messages at a lower volume,

Tending to your body's needs in ample time.

But for now,

Simply revel in how much better you feel than moments ago.

One moment may change everything.

Remember that you can return to this forest retreat any time you need relief.

You have the power to soothe your pain,

To find peace within the sanctuary of your mind as you embrace these meditation tides.

The first time I did hypnosis sessions I always found myself in a forest with moss covered grounds and trees, the sound of running alpine water, and a cabin. This took me back to my first hypno and it did not disappoint. I’ll be a returning guest 🩵
