
Lucid Dreaming Into The Night: A Guided Sleep Meditation
Lucid dream tonight. You may control your dreams, and as you relax and unwind in this sleep meditation, you may find yourself drifting into a lucid dream. Often accompanied by floating sensations, the more you practice, the more you will be able to exist in that world but like floating upon the warm surface of the ocean between the air and deep waters. It's time to dream away.

To lucid dream is to be aware that you are dreaming as you realize you may take the reins and control where you go within the dream.
This sleep meditation will help you enjoy the power of lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreaming is a capability we all have and you may even remember in your earliest childhood memories.
Perhaps during nap time when sounds of the outside world would merge into your sleep.
You may remember drifting between two worlds,
Your conscious and your subconscious.
So find a safe place where you may let go and focus solely on yourself and your pleasure.
This time is yours to set aside and to savor each moment.
I would like to welcome you to Michelle Sanctuary.
I am Michelle and you may think of my voice as that of your guide and ally on this voyage of self-discovery.
I am simply here to remind you of all that your mind is capable of and I will gently shift your thoughts so that you are able to achieve what you desire while listening.
Let your imagination explore all that it can and you may drift asleep at any point letting go of my voice as your mind will still receive the messages contained.
And right now you may take in a deep breath filling your belly to its maximum capacity as you let your ribs rise as well and then sigh it out.
And you may again inhale and identify your intention.
I intend to lucid dream and then sigh it out surrendering to this experience that is bound to come with your intention now set.
One last breath in sipping in fresh oxygen then holding your breath at the top.
I intend to lucid dream before you sigh it all out.
Tune in to the moment feeling relaxed as your body lets go and eases.
Let your muscles melt like wax into the bed.
As Edgar Allan Poe once articulated all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.
And you may visualize a sapphire blue sea in summertime.
Inhaling the briny smell in the humid coastal air.
The rays of sunlight in the air and cornflower blue sky above the ocean are like your waking life.
And the depths of the azure waters are like your dreaming life.
But when you float upon the waves you are between the two worlds exposed to the air above.
Yet also relaxing upon the warmest layer of water that has been heated by the Sun.
This in between is where you may lucid dream.
And you may think of that sensation of flowing,
Gently gliding and going with the waves.
Redirecting the course ever so slightly with a movement of your limbs.
The deeper you inhale,
The higher upon the water you float.
And the more air you exhale,
The lower you may dip beneath the surface.
Relax more.
Knowing each intake of breath is another opportunity to get you into a deeper state of ease.
Releasing,
Letting it go.
Sipping in oxygen that is healing and soothing and helping you let go of any thoughts that pop up.
As you exhale,
Realizing how much easier it is to let go of your anxious thoughts and follow the guidance of this meditation.
As if you have turned off all the notifications of the mind to float in this soothing sensation all over.
Loosening,
Releasing,
Submitting to the feeling of going deeper and deeper down.
Relaxing your jaw and the muscles of your face.
Your shoulders melt down,
Relaxing further away from your ears.
Your arms softly resting as your fingers relax and your palms are open to receive the experience to come.
Your breath becoming deeper with a calm sensation.
Your spine like a delicate string of pearls placed upon the velvet bed of a jewelry box become softer and relaxes.
Your legs as well,
Covered in a blanket of ease and gentle sensations.
As your ankles relax and the soles of your feet become softer,
Your toes relaxing.
Going deeper into a bed of softness like puffy clouds or the silt of a riverbed.
Your eyelids are closed in this sanctuary for tranquility and peace,
Heavy upon your tired eyes.
Your eyes give the only sensation you feel upon your face as the rest of your headspace feels open.
Like a vessel that has been cleared to create more space.
And in a moment you may find yourself becoming one with the air that you breathe that oxygenates your lungs and allows your blood to flow in your body that gives you life.
Feeling light as a floating on the warm layer of ocean waves just beneath the air and warmed by the Sun.
And this sensation of being a floating body as you are in between two worlds.
They begin to melt together like watercolor paints upon a wet canvas.
Blurring together your waking and dreaming life as you let yourself ease into this sensation.
Coming to the cusp of that special place you sense the walls of your room dissolve as the roof drifts away as well.
Like a magic carpet that takes off into the night and you rest beneath the moonlight that illuminates the night and illuminates you resting upon your bed.
As you are ready to drift and float towards the edge of your dreamscape.
And in this dreamscape everything will become more vivid.
Like when films first became colorized,
Heavily saturated in vibrant tones.
The sensations you feel will make you feel more present and alive and heightened in experience.
And you may look to your hands as a tool to remind you that you are in control.
Your hands may be the visual aid that you go to and control to begin the process of consciously directing your dream.
And you say these words again.
I intend to lucid dream.
And if this dream world were to be cast in oil paints,
You are the one who holds the fine tipped brush and determines what to put upon the canvas from a palette of vibrant hues.
And you begin to dream your dream.
Like gliding deeper beyond the top warm layer of the sea.
You tap into the cooler waters.
Deeper into this dream.
Experiencing more and more.
As you become more aware of what is happening.
The main hero in this dreamy world.
You feel calm and light.
Graceful as you go through the dream.
Taking yourself wherever you would most like to go.
As your physical body becomes more still,
More heavy.
The open spaces of your mind allow all the room you need to imagine and dream.
In this dreamy place,
You remember that you are in charge of this lucid dream.
Answers often await you in your dreams.
Even when they may be upsetting,
They are there to give you deeper insights.
Insights.
You may shift your dream towards magical and beautiful imagery.
Contentment and self-love are present as you explore deeper and come to a new place in your dream.
How are you feeling?
What do you notice is around you?
Where would you like to go?
Your dream is a tailor-made experience for you.
Like a custom film that pertains to your story and inner life.
And only you are the one who can decipher and translate the meanings and the feelings that come up.
There is no one else in the world that has led your life and evolved as you have.
You may delve deeper into the dream remembering that you are in charge.
The character is you and you are now writing your own script.
And as experiences appear,
As symbols may come up,
You may clarify what they mean and why they are existing in this dream that is now in your control.
Are you experiencing this dream with anyone else?
Or are you alone?
If there is someone who is present,
This may give you a deeper understanding of the story of your dream.
Connect as you begin to interact with all the components of your dream.
Any objects that may appear.
Is there anything in this dreamy setting that has your attention?
That you may direct yourself towards and control or interact with?
Feeling this floating sensation?
Again that feeling between your waking and dreaming life.
The feeling between the sky and the deepest ocean.
You float and with gentle motions come to harmony with the elements that are bigger than you.
And in this dream you may look to your hands.
The hands that have changed over time but are still always identifiable as your own.
You look as your fingers grasp for something within the dream.
You may feel the object.
Is it soft or hard or cool or smooth or rough or heavy?
See again if you can control this object.
If you can be in control in this lucid dream.
You may find as you travel you may be floating as if gravity is not so strong.
As if your feet are above the earth.
It is quite common to have floating sensations and a lightness of being when you lucid dream.
As if you are swimming through air and your mind like a camera may capture and record this dream.
Taking in the details so you may again return to this dream when you hope to lucid dream again.
For finding and re-encountering the same dream is an easy way to create this experience again.
You may always try or do whatever you like in a dream as you are the artist and have been given total creative control with no parameters or limitations.
Anything is possible.
You will remember this dream.
You will remember the recording that is stored within the unlimited storage space of your mind.
As you find yourself conscious of all that is.
As you close this dream down for the night.
You may surrender into the sleep that awaits you.
Going deeper and deeper into the relaxation and tiredness that is taking over.
And if you were observed one would describe you as appearing very comfortable with the breathing pace of a person who is deep asleep.
Your face placid and relaxed.
You enjoy the feeling that comes to you.
The deepest of contentment to find you.
Soft all over.
Your belly soft and relaxed.
Quiet and still inside as you let go to the silence.
To the dark boundless stillness that may comfort you deep into the night.
Like clouds blown by a night's breeze.
The clearing revealing a starry black velvet sky above.
Your thoughts and stressors are like these clouds.
My voice is the breeze that now blows them away across the night sky.
Watching as they go so far off in the distance.
Nothing but clear skies ahead.
Feeling the clearing that comes from this easing.
You are safe to step into any dreams that appeal to you.
Like opening a present with wrapping that most appeals to you.
Or selecting a book by its cover.
You may delve continuously into such dreams that most appeal to you.
Letting yourself only sink so deep into the waters of sleep before you remember you may float between worlds.
That you may come to a state of awareness as you lucid dream.
As you intend to lucid dream.
How lucky you are to have this superpower that pervades your sleep and helps you to work out anything you need to do to wake up refreshed and feeling safe and rested.
Imagining a door that you are familiar with.
Opening that door and visualizing what you may find may allow a concept or thought or memory to be taken over by the limitless power of your dreams.
Melding together with the control of your conscious mind.
An imagination of your subconscious.
Knowing you are always able to connect with what you most want to feel and experience.
It is phenomenal to remember and to feel this way.
The empowering realization that you are the leader in your inner world and you may surrender to those darkest deepest waters of sleep whenever you so desire.
Letting you as your internal guide of consciousness and your dream self to be the navigator for your dream mind to explore and capture this experience.
Remembering to remember.
This is your gift.
This is your life.
This is your story.
This is within your superpowers.
It's time to dream away.

I have gone to sleep every time I listened to this meditation except once. That is over 30 times over the past 2 weeks. Yesterday I was aware that I was dreaming but was not able to take much control of it. Still, I believe that this meditation will help me get to lucid dreaming. Thank you for a great explanation of lucid dreams, ways I can recognize them, and how I can become a participant of my dreams.
