Sweet dreams come when you let go.
And tonight you can completely surrender.
In this guided sleep meditation.
Lets the forest hold you.
Have you ever found yourself?
Wandering beyond the tree line.
Deep into the quietude.
Found amongst ancient trees.
Witnessing their beautiful surrender to the seasons.
Find peace beneath the canopy as your mind exchanges worries and concerns for a beautiful,
Mesmerizing journey into the forest.
Sleep finds you here,
Safe in your ideal woodland's hideout.
It's time to dream away.
Welcome to Michelle's Meditation Sanctuary.
I am Michelle.
Your sleepy companion.
And my soul intention.
To offer a soft place to let down your guard as you celebrate making it through yet another day.
Think of me as a longtime friend.
Who is here to help you feel your best.
As you unwind.
A juice saddle.
Sink into the support beneath you and let every last concern of the day fade into the background.
Feel your imagination.
Beginning to stir.
Opening to the visuals.
Of an ancient forest at sunset.
The kiss of the evening breeze on your skin.
The slightest hint.
Change in the air.
The cusp of a new season.
Where everything delicately falls into place.
Without resisting or pushing.
There's a simple allowing.
The leaves overhead.
Still retain the deep greens of summer.
Rich and lush in a rustling canopy.
Deep orange gold light filters through the feathery pines and waxy leaves.
Scattering across the earth like copper pennies.
Just beyond the leaves.
The sky erupts in crimson,
Magenta,
And metallic pools mango and raspberry pink.
A few stray clouds catch the sunset hues.
Cotton candy chameleons that drift without a care.
And what would it be like?
To be a chameleon tonight.
To take on the colors of the forest.
Absorbing its deep hum of peace,
Allowing yourself to shift and change.
With everything around you.
Your feet land atop rusty-hued pine needles and damp moths.
The cushion of the earth welcoming you.
The trees with their own unique song seemed to whisper.
Here you are safe.
Here you belong.
Here.
You may be helped.
And as you venture deeper into the woods.
Your hand caresses the ancient bark of an oak tree.
Acorns and chestnuts.
Draw your gaze to the forest floor.
Hearing them occasionally drop to the ground.
They open your mind to a sense of childlike wonder.
You reach down and peel away the spiky coating of a chestnut.
Ones reveal.
You feel its waxy coolness in your palm.
Holding it.
With a gentle squeeze.
As you feel yourself coming back to yourself.
The subtle tactile sensation.
Brings you back to your body.
Let out a sigh.
And feel the release of warm air from your mouth.
And as you inhale through your nose.
Take in the rich fragrance of the forest.
There's still something a bit green and lively.
The clean flinty smell of a distant watering hole.
The sharp resinous perfume of fallen pine cones.
The sweet decay of leaves.
That have fallen before.
The season asks it of them.
Maybe a yawn arrives.
The kind of yawn that comes when your guard is at last down.
When yawn after the next.
Inviting your entire nervous system.
To stand down.
And as you sigh.
Set down anything you have been carrying.
Physically.
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.
Forest can take it all from here.
Revel in each breath.
As you inhale once more.
And the rich perfume of the forest.
Allows its tranquility to find deeper parts of you.
Feeling soothed.
Feeling renewed.
Feeling resplendent.
And as you exhale,
Cast away anything heavy or nagging.
Make a sound with a sigh.
Incantation that says you are done with it all.
You welcome,
Rest.
You welcome the sleepy getaway.
Comes with each step.
The forest deepens into twilight blues.
Shadowy purples and grays.
As the stars begin to freckle the sky.
One by one.
Each new silvery twinkle.
Is reflected in the dew drops on the earth.
Orbs that tell stories within.
A crescent moon rises.
And fireflies appear.
Flickering neon.
With a final summer dalliance.
You feel the change in the air currents.
Constant shift.
From the fading warmth.
Of a late summer afternoon.
Into the cool invitation from the night.
You find yourself.
Wrapped in a well-worn sweater or hoodie.
Breathable enough.
To feel the forest air.
Warm and snug enough.
That you feel comforted.
And hell.
Deeper into the forest you go.
The more you find every detail.
Inspiring to make you feel good.
The soft sounds of water in motion.
Join the soundscape of crickets and tree frogs.
The whispers of the trees.
And the occasional hoot of an owl.
You follow a trail.
Well worn by the passage of deer.
Other souls like yourself.
Seeking to find peace in the forest.
The canopy opens up overhead.
As you come upon the bluest eye.
A name given to the watering hole.
Gleams before you.
In a radiant gradient of blues.
From a glacial turquoise at its shallows.
To a deep cobalt at the center.
Concentric ripples.
Begin from the middle.
Where a fish appears.
Before splashing back in two.
The cool,
Pristine water.
Silver ripples reflect the moonlight.
Light.
Dark.
Light and dark.
Before the water settles once more.
A still glassy pool.
An oversized rock.
Perfect C.
Overlooking the bluest eye.
Invites you to settle.
You brush your hand across its edge.
Feeling that it still retains the warmth.
Of the afternoon sun.
You slowly climb onto it.
Feeling yourself settle into the perfect noxiousness.
Your feet rest on the trunk of a tree.
That fell long ago.
The tree's purpose continues.
It's hollows now bringing a home.
For a fox and its young family.
The forest settles around you.
As the creatures of the woodlands.
Tuck into dens and hollows and nests.
Your mind may begin to wander.
Looking down into.
Bluest pool of water.
You may have ever seen.
Envisioning the home.
You might find the coziest in the forest.
Appearing on its surface.
Like a watercolor dream.
Perhaps you see a natural place.
Tucked like a hobbit home.
Beneath the forest floor.
Or maybe a cozy house.
High atop the trees.
Whatever you seek tonight.
The forest will provide.
You've earned it.
You deserve it.
It's time to be taken care of tonight.
As you have taken care of enough on your own today.
Allow this refuge to support you in your every need.
Your every dream.
And sense a shift within.
Your heart feeling warm and open.
As you take in the stars.
Ancient and vast.
Infinite sky.
Makes everything that once taxed your mind.
Feel distant.
Insignificant.
In this endless beauty.
Cool blue water.
Brings out the chameleon in you.
And you mirror its stillness.
Your energy dials down.
And down some more.
Your heart rate.
And every relaxed breath in.
Takes in this world of blue.
And a sleepy feeling arrives.
Slowly.
With the breeze.
With the blue ripples.
With the murmurs of the forest.
Your eyelids a little more heavy.
Your sighs a little easier.
You rise slowly.
Dip your fingers into the cool water.
So refreshing to touch.
Silvery mist rises.
And you can taste its purity on your lips.
Gentle swirls of your index finger.
The water changes and adapts.
What do you feel for connection?
You may have felt.
So very long ago.
Long before your connection to the world.
Could be so easily interrupted.
You rise slowly from the water.
Stretching your arms overhead as the moon takes center stage.
In the velvety night sky.
Your face softens.
As you leave the bluest eye behind you.
Its ripples settling back into stillness.
It will never truly leave you.
Visions of this pool coming back to you.
When you need to remember.
Something serene.
Something soothing.
Your mind feels quieter now.
As if the water reached beneath your thoughts.
And touched something.
Had been waiting to be reminded.
How simple peace can be.
Of how easy it is to clear the way.
Your mind no longer gets in the way.
Continue to wander beneath the moon.
Trail ahead.
Doesn't need to be clear.
No map is needed.
For where you are going.
As the forest guides you.
Stirs something deep inside of you.
That already knows the way.
Your inner compass comes to life.
The softest tug here.
The most gentle vibration there.
The mind doesn't need to catch up.
Can be a little sleepier.
Little dimmer.
As if in a dream.
You drift along the path.
Safe no matter where you go.
No matter where the night calls you.
Feel a trust like no other.
Trust you have in yourself.
This is the oldest kind of knowing.
Kind that lived in you.
Long before words.
When all you could do was trust.
Just allow the world to unfold around you.
You follow a trail.
Lined by lush clover.
And wildflowers of late summer.
That brings you to a fork.
Two directions.
No real reason.
To choose one over the other.
And gentle.
One of them simply feels right.
Without thinking much at all.
Trust yourself.
This quiet pull.
There is something comforting.
About remembering this feeling.
Quiet knowing that lives beneath all the noise.
The part of you.
Doesn't need to explain itself.
Or make a case for what feels right.
Simply knows.
You spend enough of today.
Listening to the world around you.
Now the forest grows quieter.
To begin listening.
Drawing inward again.
Knows the way.
Your feet know how to find the path.
And somehow every thought and every question fades.
As you follow your innate compass.
Quietly pointing you toward.
What feels safe?
Peaceful.
And right for you.
You follow it deeper into the trees.
Reassuring time.
That gives you the complete trust.
You are exactly where you need to be.
And the deeper you venture.
Beneath the moonlit canopy.
The more the forest begins to feel.
Less like a place you're passing through.
And more like a place.
That is becoming yours.
You begin to sense.
What waits for you?
Where you will arrive.
Each step becoming slower.
Your legs and feet.
Feeling delightfully heavy and tired.
They've carried you through another day.
Now it's time for them to find rest.
A soft light appears ahead.
Guiding you toward the cozy dwelling.
You most desire on this night.
Maybe it's a little cabin.
Tucked among the trees.
Windows glowing gold through the branches.
Perhaps it is a treehouse.
Embraced by the limbs of an old oak.
Or a hobbit home nestled beneath the roof.
Or a cozy den.
Hidden deep within the forest floor.
Maybe it's a dwelling.
Built into the woods itself.
Surrounded by moss.
Ferns and roots.
So naturally part of the forest.
It feels as though it's always been here.
You don't have to decide.
Just let whatever feels right.
Here before you.
And follow its light.
As you draw closer.
You run your hand along the entrance.
Whatever shape it has taken.
And you step inside.
Feeling so tired.
And so relaxed.
And somehow inside.
Everything is all ready just as it should be.
The forest has made this place for you.
The light is warm.
The air is welcoming.
There is somewhere soft to rest.
And everything around you.
Seems to have been gathered.
You in mind.
There might be a fire glowing nearby.
Her candles burning low.
A tuft of blankets.
Mountain of pillows.
Outside.
Trees rise around your little refuge.
Their branches forming.
Natural shelter overhead.
Roots curl through the earth beneath you.
Moss softens the ground.
Gentle music of the forest.
Of sin through the openings.
Close enough to remind you.
It is always there.
And you are simply tucked inside it.
Held by it.
The earth holds your weight tonight.
So you don't have to hold yourself up.
The trees offer shelter.
So you don't have to watch.
Everything unfolding tonight.
The canopy gives you privacy.
So you don't have to be available.
Anyone.
Or anything.
Right now.
The night offers its rest.
So you may surrender.
The breeze carries away.
What no longer serves you.
So you don't have to hold on to every thought.
It passes through.
And the changing season.
Gives you permission to.
Forest isn't worried about losing its leaves.
Doesn't cling to summer.
It doesn't rush toward autumn.
It simply moves.
For whatever comes next.
And so can you.
Azure Forest Retreat.
Settles quietly around you.
Notice that you are being held.
Another place too.
The place where your body is actually resting tonight.
Feel that support beneath you.
Holding you exactly.
As the Earth holds this whole forest.
Let the two places become one and the same.
The bed beneath you.
Forest around you.
Both simply here to hold you.
Let your attention drift down now to your feet.
As they grow heavy and warm.
The way roots settle into soft earth.
After a long day of reaching.
They've carried you enough today.
Now they can rest.
The same heaviness rises into your chest.
Your knees.
There's nothing left.
To walk tonight.
The path is finished.
Your legs can finally let go.
Feel your hips pelvis.
Sinking a little deeper.
Forest floor beneath you.
Doesn't ask you to move.
Simply receives you.
Exactly as you are.
Feel your belly soften.
Rising and falling with your breath.
Nothing to brace against.
Nothing to prepare for.
Just breath.
Moving in its own quiet rhythm.
Feel your chest.
As each breath arrives.
Cool air drawn in from the forest.
Warm air released.
With a long held sigh of letting go.
Let your shoulders drop.
However far they're willing to fall tonight.
Let your arms grow loose and heavy.
Your hands open to the sky.
Nothing left to hold.
To squeeze or to fix.
Just fingers resting.
As if floating in water.
Your neck softens.
Your throat eases and opens.
No words required.
Simply quiet.
Feel your jaw loosen.
Your teeth gently parting.
Your tongue resting soft and still.
Your eyes rest too.
Heavy beneath closed lids.
The forest is dark and tranquil now.
And your whole body rests.
Inside the refuge created for you.
Held within the forest.
Held within the quiet.
Surrounds it all.
The trees sway gently above you.
The water reflects the opal light of the moon.
Fellow inhabitants of the forest settle.
And seen in their shelters.
Leaves settle onto the soft damp earth.
The stars remain overhead.
Endlessly glittering.
The forest transition.
As it simply breathes.
Meeting each moment.
Just as you do.
As you simply let the forest hold you.
Lets the earth hold you Let the quiet hold you.
Let your body find total rest.
You trusted your body enough.
Follow the path here tonight.
You trusted yourself enough.
Build this place.
Exactly as you needed it.
And now.
You can trust yourself enough to sleep.
Finding safety.
Finding comfort.
Finding serenity.
Finding sleep.
It's time to dream away.
