Welcome to Meditation Tides with Michelle Sanctuary,

Where the tides of your imagination may inspire your life.

You are listening to Don't Stop Believing,

A morning guided meditation to believe in yourself.

I am Michelle,

Your guide on this journey.

Let the sound waves of my voice wash over you with the love and kindness of an advocate and friend.

I encourage you to shower yourself with hope and encouragement as a new day begins.

You deserve to believe in yourself.

You deserve to set an intention for your day that supports a constant stream of self-love and confidence so that you may thrive.

And more importantly,

So that you may feel safe and content in your body.

As a day rolls out with new adventures.

As we begin,

Let the words of Theodore Roosevelt resonate within you.

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Let this be the theme for our practice as we strengthen your belief in yourself.

Get comfy and cozy,

Perhaps rubbing your hands up and down your arms in a nurturing way before hugging yourself in a gentle embrace.

With a simple touch,

You create an energetic wave of love and warmth that flows through your body.

Throughout this practice,

Let your eyelids softly land on your eyes as you gaze within the sanctuary of your body and mind.

Let out a sigh,

Surrendering to all that reveals itself.

In this journey,

Your heart remains open.

Your mind is like a sponge as you welcome this chance to believe in yourself.

Take a deep breath in as your lungs expand like balloons,

Giving a sense of lightness and peace.

Imagine every molecule of oxygen that travels throughout your body,

Unlocking any places of tension and holding,

Giving room for self-belief.

As you exhale,

Release the words and thoughts that haunt you most.

Visualize them escaping you,

Flying away in streams as if typed by a typewriter on the air.

Each exhale sends these self-limiting ideas into the vast universe,

So new,

Positive beliefs may take root.

Inhale again,

Filling yourself with encouragement and love.

Exhale slowly through your mouth,

Again watching as thoughts disperse,

Break down these unwanted ideas from phrases to words to letters until they are no longer tied together and free to create new ideas and strings of thoughts.

Enjoy one more conscious breath at your own pace.

Notice how effortlessly your body knows how to take in this life-giving force.

Your subconscious mind works tirelessly to ensure that every breath fuels your being.

Just like these breaths,

Your subconscious mind can offer the same level of encouragement and support when it comes to believing in yourself.

Imagine your subconscious mind as a steady stream of positivity flowing beneath the surface of your thoughts.

It whispers words of encouragement,

Reminding you of your strengths,

Talents,

And potential.

It connects you with your highest self,

The part of you that contains innate wisdom and arrives with compassion.

With time and practice,

This stream of belief becomes stronger and clearer,

Nourishing your self-confidence.

Let your mind drift back through time.

Visualize yourself accomplishing something that at one point seemed impossible.

Welcome the first thing that comes to mind.

It could be a challenge you faced,

A goal you achieved,

Or an obstacle you overcame.

Perhaps surviving this experience was not something you foresaw or wished to happen,

But it unlocked abilities you would not have otherwise known you had.

Stepping out of your comfort zone often brings these skills forward.

Recognize how you made it to the other side,

To be here now,

Alive and connected to an intention of supporting yourself,

Of believing in yourself.

Enjoy this wave of self-belief,

How it travels throughout your body in soothing waves.

Even on the days it may be hard to do,

Simply let your imagination fill in the gaps.

Your nervous system and body do not always know the difference,

So go with what feels good.

Feel the relief that comes when you go easy on yourself.

Your muscles relax.

Your heart warms.

You feel a lightness of being.

Imagine a candle burning brightly within the sanctuary of you.

Notice how you protect its flame.

This flame signifies the self-beliefs you have that cannot be swayed or changed by any voice in the outside world.

Even your own intrusive thoughts would not dare to blow it out.

Recognize you are doing all you need to do,

One breath at a time.

Receive these words,

Letting them permeate your mind and bring you peace.

You are capable.

You are enough.

You are worthy.

You deserve all the good things that come your way.

Take a moment to express gratitude to yourself for taking this time to believe you are amazing.

Let this encouragement guide you throughout the day,

And whenever doubt or criticism even tries to creep in,

Tell your mind to stop.

Remember the meditation tides that keep that flame alive,

Bringing one wave of love after the next to remind you,

Don't stop believing.

I really needed this today! Was feeling a bit down and exhausted from looking after our two young granddaughters. Been 3 1/2 years of 11 hour weekdays with no time off except stat holidays.
