Softly close your eyes,

Relax your body and begin to focus your attention on your breath.

Feeling with each breath you take how the air is filling your lungs with nourishing oxygen.

Feeling on the out breath how gradually your body is becoming more and more relaxed.

In your own rhythm focusing on nothing else but your breath.

With each breath becoming more and more relaxed.

Each breath taking you to a peaceful state of mind.

Releasing all tension.

Just taking you to a place of calm.

Now allow the following scene to unfold.

You are in a small beautiful secluded cove.

The sun is glowing and it is the correct temperature.

The sky is clear with the occasional tiny cloud floating past.

You can see pelicans flying over the smooth water.

Occasionally diving into the sea.

The water is so soothing as you listen to the waves gently lapping against the shore.

There is a slight breeze and the air is fresh.

Salty you can even smell seaweed.

So energizing.

Take a few deep revitalizing breaths.

As you look around your surroundings you can see grandiose pine trees growing on the rocky cliffs behind you.

You feel thoroughly relaxed and safe here.

Just you and the birds enjoying the sun,

Breeze and sea in this impeccable cove.

So mesmerizing observing how the waves softly lap against the shore.

Slowly and securely you begin to walk on the shingles to the waters edge.

Observing how the rays of the sun glitter on the calm water.

A few steps ahead of you you notice a sparkling beach bevel.

The rays of the sunshine appear to be dancing around it,

Drawing you to it.

You walk towards the beach bevel enthusiastically.

You pick the bevel up and place it in the palm of your hand.

It fits in the palm of your hand as if made for you.

You sit down next to the waters edge closing your eyes feeling so tranquil,

So safe,

So in harmony with everything around you.

You bring your attention to the pebble and begin to listen to its story.

The story of Mother Earth in the palm of your hand.

Once part of a huge rock that's over time was worn away by wind,

Water,

Sun and storms.

Covered at times in a blanket of snow and ice.

Other occasions it has been laid in the glaring sun.

It has withstood everything that the elements have thrown at it.

Over time the rock has become smaller,

Smoothed down by the water over and over again.

Thousands of years old yet still here,

More beautiful than ever.

Waiting patiently withstanding the storm.

Feel the surface of your pebble,

How polished it feels.

It has witnessed natural disasters,

Man-made disasters.

Yet despite all the hardship it is here,

Solid,

Tough,

Strong.

Remaining its essential self through everything.

In the same way that the pebble has withstood the seasons.

Facing all the challenges and changes you too are equally as durable.

There is strength within you as powerful and lasting as the pebble.

You now know that like the pebble your appearance may change.

However you too can withstand all variations of storms.

You are strong,

Confident,

Courageous,

Positive and grounded.

Within you there is a stillness,

A calm,

Peace,

A knowing of being one with everything.

A deep connection to this splendid planet and wondrous universe.

Embrace this insight and awareness.

Spend a little time in this space.

It is now time to leave this beautiful secluded cove.

You place the pebble in your pocket and breathe in the fresh salty energizing air.

You know you can return at any time you wish.

Feeling confident,

Grounded,

Peaceful and secure.

It is now time to bring your attention back to your breath.

Back to your physical body.

Back to your surroundings.

When you are ready open your eyes.
