The candle.
Let's get into a comfortable meditation position,
Remembering to keep your back nice and straight.
Now close softly your eyes and let's just concentrate on your breath.
Nice deep breaths in and out.
And with each breath that we take,
Your whole body is becoming relaxed.
Every breath settling your mind and body.
I would like you now to imagine that you are a beautiful candle.
What colour are you?
What shape of candle are you?
Now imagine someone walks towards you and lights your wick.
You are now giving out a small glow of orange light.
Take another breath.
Look how your wick is lighting up the room.
Slowly you can feel your whole body becoming an orange colour.
Seal yourself giving out warm orange light,
Getting stronger and stronger,
Brighter and brighter.
Look how warm you are glowing.
Someone lifts you up and places you in the middle of the room.
You are now shining as bright as you can,
Driving away all the darkness and reminding others to shine brightly and spread love,
Kindness and compassion towards themselves and everyone they meet.
See how brightly you are glowing,
Sending out so much light,
Removing all darkness.
Take another nice deep breath and when you are ready softly open your eyes,
Remembering that you are a bright shining light.
