I am so happy to be here with you today.

Actually.
This is not an ad,
Nothing like that.
I want to talk to you about the journey that I have been on.
Yes.
Really,
I want to say this is a journey I've been on probably most of my life,
But I really want to talk to you about what's been going on probably over the last,
Let's say,
14 years.
It's not just about the podcast.
It's about who I've been becoming,
Who I've discovered within myself,
Because what I realize is that I am absolutely not the same person that I was 14 years ago,
15 years ago.
Think about that for yourself.
Do you feel like you're the same person?
Because you're probably not.
We are,
As humans,
Always evolving and growing and becoming someone anew,
Really.
This is what I believe happens to us until the day we die,
Honestly.
We just keep growing and growing and evolving,
Especially,
I believe,
If you're listening to this show.
If you're listening to this show,
You are someone that is a seeker.
You are someone that wants to become more empowered.
You want to become emotionally more healthy.
You want to become more in balance,
All of those beautiful things.
You want to in some way,
Shape,
Or form transform your life.
This is what I love.
This is what I love to talk about.
If you're with me,
This is you too.
Think about yourself over the last year,
Several years,
How different you have become.
We are ever evolving.
We just don't stop.
I remember on my life path thinking,
I know that if I take this course,
This training,
This certification,
I'm going to cross that finish line,
No more pain,
No more emotional angst.
I'm going to be great.
I'm going to be okay.
I'm just not sure that that's how things go,
To be honest with you.
What I do realize is that we are humans that continue to evolve and grow and grow and grow.
So here's the thing,
I want to talk to you about why I do this work.
Why I do this work is that it's getting so hard in the world.
If I have one more conversation with people,
Whether it be family or friends,
Even people online,
They'll private message me and they'll say,
It is so hard.
How do I fill in the blank?
They're having issues with themselves,
With anxiety or with the condependency or their relationships with their boss,
With politics,
With all of the things.
So it's social media.
Is this true?
Is that?
There's so much.
There's so much happening on our planet right now and it's harder now with all of this noise out there.
You guys know what I mean.
To find our center and to find peace,
It's easier than ever to fall into overwhelm and self doubt,
To get the looping thoughts that we have and worry.
I was just with family members last week and one of them was like,
I just don't know what to do.
You know,
Should I buy a gun?
I don't know what to do.
Like it was like,
Oh,
Like so much stress,
So much worry happening.
I don't know what is happening to our world.
I hear it on a regular basis.
So it doesn't matter how old you are,
But I watch people,
Whether they're teenagers all the way into their eighties,
Honestly,
Have,
They're talking about this right now.
And here's,
Here's what I've realized over the years is that it is about having skills and tools to help us to navigate these times.
And unfortunately we don't get taught this stuff in schools.
I wish that instead of getting pushed into,
You know,
AP history or AP science or whatever the heck we,
You know,
Are pushing our kids to do,
That we learn skills with what to do when we're triggered.
You know,
How do we navigate triggers?
Nobody teaches us that.
What do we do in relationships?
It's so unfortunate to me to think about the fact that no one's taught how to have healthy relationships.
We're not taught that in school.
And unless you had really,
Really,
Really healthy models that you grew up with,
I'm still trying to find those people.
If that was your parents,
Let me know because 30 years of seeing clients,
I did not hear about that.
Now,
Again,
You know,
Dysfunction is on a range.
I always think about a spectrum of,
You know,
I just didn't hear I love you growing up.
Great.
But that's even,
You know,
That might've played into how you are today in relationships and how you feel about yourself.
You get my point.
We didn't get this stuff when we were growing up.
So there is a lot going on.
And something that I'm passionate about is to provide for people tools.
I don't believe that striving for happiness is a great goal.
This is my,
This is my personal experience here.
But striving for peace is a great goal.
That is something that we can have.
Happiness to me is very spiky.
You know,
Like when a new baby is born or when you,
When you get your first car or you get a new car,
A new house or a new dress or a new suit or whatever the heck you're buying or you take it,
You travel somewhere,
Oh my gosh,
I'm so happy.
It's so great,
But it's spiky and then it drops.
I want to drop into peace.
I don't want to drop all the way down into sadness.
I want to drop and land and have my resting state be in peace.
That's what I teach.
This is what I love.
And we do that by learning these tools.
And what I've realized is these tools are built into the adult chair,
You know?
And this is something I've practiced most of my life.
You know,
When I was a teenager,
I realized I was starting to get really depressed and I had,
I didn't even know what it was called,
But at the time it was a lot of anxiety,
A lot of codependency,
A lot of dysfunctional attachment wounding.
I had so much going on and I didn't even know it,
But I became,
I don't,
I think I popped out of the womb as a seeker,
Really wanting to understand who the world is or what's,
Who God is,
Whose source is,
How the world works,
How do we heal?
How do I feel better?
Because I didn't feel so good on the inside.
So I've done that since I can remember and I will always do that.
I think that's,
I actually know that's what I'm here to do according to my human design and astrology and all the things and I love it.
So I'm going to own that and I'm pretty darn good at it.
I've had a lot of live events recently and I'm in the membership working with people and I got to say I'm good at it and it's what I love to share and that's what this podcast is all about.
So the podcast journey and how we got here,
I just,
I need to share this,
My announcement is coming right now.
If you know my history with this,
I didn't even know what a podcast was back in 2013 when Pete Wright,
Who was at the time doing my website,
He was a podcast producer,
Didn't even know what a podcast was again.
And he said to me when he did my website and he was doing a little bit of marketing for me,
He said,
You've got something here,
It's really special and the world needs to know what this is.
So you should do a podcast,
Let's do one together.
And I thought,
What's a podcast?
I don't even know what it is.
So at the end of 2014,
After he shared this and encouraged me or hounded me,
I should say for most of that year of 2014,
We did launch the adult chair podcast in 2014 and in November is right at the end of that year.
And I got to tell you,
It was the most beautiful thing.
I never thought anyone would listen to me except for my clients.
And here I am talking to people all around the world and it is absolutely,
It's been a gift.
But something I realized a few years ago,
Started feeling off around the show.
And what I realized,
It's a relationship.
Everything in the world is about relationships.
You know,
You have relationships with your family,
You have relationships with your,
Again,
Let's break down the family though.
Your mom,
Your dad,
Your siblings,
Your aunts,
Your uncles,
Your whomever.
And then you have relationships at work,
You have a relationship with your job,
You have a relationship with nature.
You get where I'm going here.
I realized I had a relationship even with this podcast.
And what I needed to do was to individuate from the podcast,
From the adult chair specifically,
Because I couldn't see myself.
It was very,
As I look back on it,
I see that's what was going on.
I thought,
Well,
Am I the one talking about this stuff or is it all the adult chair?
And what I realized is it's not.
So that was when I changed the show to the Michelle Chalvon show,
I think a year ago.
And then that didn't feel right,
But I kept feeling like that was what needed to happen.
So I have no,
You know,
Looking back,
Like there's no regret around it.
I see it was a natural path I needed to take.
And in relationships,
We sometimes have to step away to then appreciate or see ourselves clearly to see who we are within that relationship.
Think about a person that you are in relationship with.
When you sometimes leave,
Then you see it differently.
So that's what I realized happened when I moved the podcast to the Michelle Chalvon show.
And what I then I started realizing a few months ago,
Like this doesn't feel right.
So after individuating,
What I come to realize is that it's both,
It's the adult chair and Michelle Chalvon coming together.
And that's what we're putting out into the world.
So we're not going back to just the adult chair and we're not sticking with the Michelle Chalvon show.
We're actually marrying that.
I feel like I'm getting married.
We're going.
The new show is going to be the adult chair with Michelle Chalvon with fresh eyes and my full heart.
I cannot wait.
I also realize I've gotten too far away from solo episodes.
Something that I love doing is working with people.
I love working with people live.
I love working with people in the membership.
And in a way on the podcast,
I'm working with all of you and I'm sharing the thing that I just shared earlier,
The tools and the methodology to help you to live a healthier life,
To help you to find your emotional balance,
To help you to find better relationships.
But it all boils down to the relationship we have first with ourselves.
So I'm looking forward to going back to a much deeper connection and conversations with all of you.
That's what I came here to do.
This is not just be,
I don't,
I'm not here to be a podcast host where I have tons of guests on.
And that's what this show has become.
Not that I'm not going to have guests on because I love having guests,
But not every single week.
So you're going to hear a lot more from me and I'm going to bring it.
I've got a lot of things that I want to share with you guys.
And again,
Looking at the state of the world that we're in now,
Harder than ever.
I want to help you there.
I want to help you not just with that stuff,
But internally.
How do you stay connected to yourself?
That's where the magic is.
That's where the gold is.
It will transform every single relationship in your life.
It will transform how you show up in your work,
How you parent your children,
How you are in relationship with your partner and with friendships,
With everything and everyone.
But most importantly,
You're going to be able to live in your body in a very different way because you're going to learn these skills and these tools to navigate your life in a way of living with more balance and more peace.
So that's the big announcement.
I know that was a long story long,
But I had to give you some of that background.
So today I want to talk to you about two big things.
Number one is something called the illuminated path,
Which I love.
I have to say,
A lot of times when I teach or you'll hear me when I'm doing a live teaching or a course that I'm teaching or a masterclass or again in the membership or the live events,
Stuff just comes down through,
I call it downloads.
That is when we are perfectly in line with spirit,
With God,
With source.
And I mean,
The information just comes on through like gangbusters.
It's so fun.
And that happened in 2019.
I believe this is when I was thinking back to when this came through.
I think it was 2019 when I was in San Antonio teaching.
And that was when something came through called the illuminated path and that this is called the path of the higher self or the path of the soul.
It's a path without fear.
And I always,
And I got a visual when I saw this whole thing,
It's,
It's living in your adult chair.
This is how we live.
We live on the illuminated path.
So imagine living your life as a path or there's a path with very flat stones in front of you on that path.
And how do you know when to take that next step forward?
And how do you know if this is the right thing to do or if that's the right thing to do?
Or should you have that relationship or take the job or quit the job or do invite the new friend over or whatever the heck it is?
How do you know when?
How do you know when it's time?
How do you know if that's the right thing for you?
Well,
When you're on your,
Your illuminated path,
You're living the path of,
Of against the highest way to live.
So what happens is you will feel it in your body.
You're going to feel moved to take that next step forward.
And the path is not straight.
Sometimes it's going to go to the right or to the sharp turn to the left,
And then you're going to wait and then you're going to take that next step.
And you might wait a while before you take that next step.
But my gosh,
I've heard from people over the years asking me,
Well,
How do I know when to leave,
You know,
This partnership?
I don't think this relationship working anywhere.
I said,
You'll feel it,
You'll know it.
And then you'll take that next step.
What the ego does is the ego wants to know what's coming far into the future before we take that step.
But what I have found is when you're living with peace embodied in a grounded state,
It's a very different step forward that then you will take,
You know,
Things you will.
The goal is always to stay connected to self in that present moment state of awareness and that grounded space.
And then you take that step forward.
So the illuminated path is you don't need to know what's coming in a year.
You know that that next step is exactly what you need to do.
And if you can stay present with that next step,
Things fall into place.
I did that.
You know,
I dismantled my company in 2023 into 2024.
It was the most unbelievable experience I've ever had in my life.
It was the biggest teacher of life that I've ever had.
It was the biggest,
Let me say it like this,
It was the biggest teacher living in the present moment because what I found was this.
I intuitively,
Every cell in my body was like,
We are not,
You're in this company,
You're in the highest way.
So everything needs to change.
So we're letting people go left and right,
Like everyone except for one person.
And I was like,
What?
It was such an intuitive knowing this is what I had to do.
It felt right in every single cell in my body.
And I was terrified at the same time.
It was horrifying to me in my mind to think this way,
But here's what was crazy.
When I'd get in the present moment state,
I would,
There were times when I'd giggle about it,
But when I think about the future and go,
Oh my God,
How am I going to go through this?
How am I going to do this?
This is terrifying.
I can't run a company on my own.
I can't even send out a group.
I mean,
I can send out one email on my Gmail account,
But to send out,
I don't even know how to use my email system.
I haven't hired anyone.
How am I going to do this?
And when I got in the moment and followed my illuminated path,
Every single thing worked out.
And what it meant was I needed to live in the moment.
In the moment,
There is peace.
That's where peace is.
It's sitting smack dab in the moment.
And when I got there,
I was so calm and I had this knowing everything is working out.
Everything is in divine order.
Everything and everyone,
Everything's showing up in divine time.
So when I went there,
It was like miracles what happened.
And the right people started to show up and everything started to show up in a different way.
I showed up as this leader energy that I didn't even know I had inside of me and everything changed and I would not go back and change anything.
I would go through that again and again if it could give me the person and the human that I have become today.
So I say that live on your illuminated path.
It is the path from the present moment.
But here's a really important thing that we need to do in order to live on the illuminated path.
We have to learn how to get in our bodies and feel our emotions.
And again,
Working with people for so many years that when I would suggest that they tune into what they were feeling about X,
Y,
Or Z that was happening about,
You know,
Their husband leaving or getting a new job or moving into another state.
So many people look at me and go,
I'm not sure.
What do you mean?
Feel my emotions?
I'm like,
Okay,
Okay.
So we've got to learn how to feel our emotions.
So I want to talk to you about that just for a moment.
When people would say to me,
You got,
I don't know how to feel my emotions.
I'm like,
Well,
That requires us to be in the body.
You have to be in your body in order to tune into what you're feeling.
And feeling into energy,
You know,
We're big,
This is my technical term.
We're big energy blobs,
Okay?
Walking around on the planet.
What we're not aware of,
And this is physics,
Even our physical body is an energy structure.
The reason we can see it is because it's vibrating very slow.
But outside of us is the auric field.
It's the energy bodies.
That's where our emotions are.
That's where our mental,
The thoughts are.
It's floating around in this beautiful energy field.
So imagine two feet outside of you in all directions,
Above your head,
Out to your side,
And even below your feet.
There's this beautiful energy glowing field.
It's a,
I call it the blob,
My technical term here.
So when you're grounded,
That beautiful blob is all around you,
But also down below your feet in the earth.
And what happens is when we get overwhelmed,
Stressed,
Scared,
Whatever it might be that you are,
In doubt,
That energy rises up out of the earth and pulls up in the body.
So then instead of drawing a circle,
A beautiful circle all around you,
Two feet around you that goes right into the earth,
Imagine that earth part of it lifting up.
So the circle then might start at your knees and go way up above your head.
That's a sign that you're not grounded.
So that's what it visually looks like.
What it feels like is kind of forgetful.
You might be tripping on things.
You stubbing your toe a lot.
Your energy is not down below your feet.
You can't remember anything.
All of those kinds of things are a sign that you're not grounded.
But even,
And I've worked with a lot of people that were running companies,
Extremely intelligent,
But yet not quite grounded.
They could have been more grounded.
So in order to feel your emotions,
You really have to get curious around,
Am I grounded number one?
But also the other thing is,
Am I even connected to my heart?
Because we give so much praise to how intelligent we are on this planet.
Do we,
How about saying things like,
How does it make you feel when you're a little kid instead of,
Hey,
Did you get an A on that paper?
So what we want to start doing is getting curious about what's going on in the body and specifically in the,
What I call the divine heart center.
This is right in the center of your chest.
So what you want to do to feel,
You want to number one,
Again,
Get in the body and I will drop in show notes,
A grounding meditation for you just to help you to get the feeling of,
Oh,
I am grounded.
I am fully here.
So get yourself fully here.
Number one,
Number two,
Feel your emotions.
So how do we do that?
Get curious.
The number one way is to get curious about,
Huh,
What am I feeling?
What's going on in my body?
I don't even know.
I don't even know.
I've asked that question to countless people and they'll look at me like,
I have no idea because we're cut off.
We spend so much time living what I call chin up,
Which is in the head.
You got to drop chin down and ask yourself,
What am I feeling in my body?
Specifically from your waist to your chin,
What's going on?
And if you can't come up with a name like,
Oh,
I'm sad or I have grief or I'm overwhelmed or I'm ecstatic,
Whatever it might be.
Tune into your body.
And this is a beautiful,
Beautiful pathway to truly feeling your emotions is to get curious about what you're feeling physically speaking.
So notice,
Do you have like tightness in your belly?
Do you have tightness in your chest?
Do you have openness in your chest?
What's happening to the body?
A lot of people have,
Oh my gosh,
I feel like someone's hands are around my throat.
When I,
When I tune in,
I can't,
I,
I can't breathe,
You know,
Wow.
Pay attention.
And here's what I'm going to suggest that you stay with it.
Stay with that feeling,
Stay with that sensation.
It will pass because emotions are energy.
I'm telling you,
Every single part of you is energy.
You can't see emotions flying around.
You can't see thoughts flying around,
But they're there.
You know what it feels like when you speak with someone and they have had an argument and they're mad at you and they're going,
No,
I'm not mad.
And you feel something's off.
You're feeling that negative energy.
You're feeling that anger.
You're feeling that frustration that they have with you.
So we feel intuitively emotions all the time and thoughts,
By the way.
So for yourself though,
Start getting curious.
What do I feel when my husband,
When my child,
When my boss,
When my,
Whatever I watched on social media,
Whatever it might be,
How does that make me feel?
Start asking yourself that question.
It's a beautiful way to start getting curious about what you're feeling in your body.
So when you're able to feel,
Guess what?
You're going to know when to take that next step forward on that illuminated path.
You got to be able to feel,
Oh,
This is,
I feel moved to take that step forward.
So get in touch with your body,
Get yourself grounded,
Get yourself in tune with your body.
Another way to start feeling emotions would be inner child work,
Of course.
And I've talked about this so many times,
I've done a course on this,
But I will also drop a free inner child resource that I have in the show notes so you can go check that out.
It will help you to connect with your inner child,
Communicate with your inner child and bond with your inner child.
It's a beautiful,
Beautiful inner child resource.
So okay,

It is all about living on your illuminated path,
Following your path.
And I look back on this path I've had with this podcast.
I've never felt more empowered,
More grounded,
More clear,
And I got to say more excited.
