
Deep Healing Relaxation

An advanced body scan meditation to draw you into a deep state of relaxation, security and peace. This healing practice will help you return your nervous system to a state of restoration and repair, in order to facilitate your body's natural ability to heal. You'll be guided through 40 minutes of practice followed by an additional 10 minutes of music.
Transcript
So just finding your way into a comfortable position,
Lying down.
Your legs extended long.
Your arms resting wherever feels natural and normal.
Slowly closing down your eyes.
And in your own time,
Taking three deep cleansing breaths.
Inhaling slowly through your nose.
And exhaling audibly through your mouth.
And allowing yourself to arrive here in this moment.
Letting go of everything that's happened throughout your day.
Knowing that this is your time now to simply relax and let go.
And then guiding your awareness to the souls of your fate.
The tops of your feet.
And your heels.
And all ten toes.
Experiencing a sense of softening through your feet.
Feeling as if they were soaking in a warm bath.
Feeling this energy of relaxation to gently flow up through your ankles.
Sinking through your ankles.
Your calves.
Your shins.
Up through your kneecaps.
And the backs of your knees.
Pacing through your thighs and hamstrings.
Allowing your legs to become a little heavier against the support of the surface beneath you.
And just being aware of any sensations that are present through your legs and your feet.
Simply noticing what's there without any judgement or resistance.
Seeing if the simple act of paying attention might allow you to soften a little deeper.
And then feeling this gentle relaxation.
Spreading up through your hips and your pelvis.
Letting go of any tension or tightness you might be holding onto.
And then filling into your belly.
Aware of your slow,
Rhythmic breath.
Gently rising and falling.
Breathing it away.
Breathing away any knots or constriction that might be present.
Allowing your belly to feel soft and spacious.
Creating space to release for your lower back.
Your middle back.
Your diaphragm.
Seeing a sense of softness and openness.
Spreading from your lower torso.
All the way up to your heart.
Your chest.
And really tuning your awareness into your heart space.
Giving yourself permission to feel whatever it is that you're feeling.
Right now in this moment.
Resting here with your heart.
And you're soothing,
Nurturing,
Loving attention.
And allowing this same energy of tenderness.
And relaxation to flow across the tops of your shoulders.
And the space behind your shoulder blades.
Not letting go of any lingering tension or tightness that might be present.
Allowing your entire back to soften and relax.
Resting in awareness.
And enjoying this peaceful opportunity to heal your body on the inside out.
Allowing this sensation of heaviness and relaxation to flow across the tops of your shoulders.
And relaxation to flow through your upper arms.
Elbows.
Forearms.
Wrists.
And backs of your hands.
And the palms of your hands.
Full ten fingers,
Heavy,
Relaxed.
Your arms and your hands.
Feeling warm and relaxed.
Heavy and still.
Distracted.
And that's okay too.
Knowing that all you have to do in this moment is simply tend to yourself with the gentleness of your breath.
And the healing nourishment of your awareness.
And the guiding your mind now.
The top of your head.
Finally seeing any tension or tightness through your scalp.
Feeling the space above your ears.
The back of your head.
Right the way down to the base of your scalp.
And then allowing this energy of rest and relaxation to flow across your forehead.
Finding a little space in between your brows.
Releasing any tightness in the muscles around your eyes.
Allowing your eyes to feel heavy in their sockets.
Your eyelids soft and relaxed.
Allowing this same energy to flow down.
Your nose.
Your cheeks.
Goffening through your lips.
Your jaw.
Your entire head and face.
Feeling gentle and relaxed.
Simply at ease.
Feeling the same energy of letting go.
Blowing down through your neck.
The back of your neck.
The sides.
Letting go of any subtle constriction in your throat.
Allowing this same healing energy to flow down across the tops of your shoulders once again.
Feeling a sense of broadening across your collarbones.
An openness through all of the muscles in your chest.
Allowing your awareness to once again land at the heart.
With your entire body soft and relaxed.
See if you can start to imagine a healing,
White light.
Radiating from your heart space.
This beautiful healing light flowing through your entire being.
Filling your cells,
Your tissues,
Your bones with a sense of softness and relaxation.
Circulating through your entire body as a whole.
Your entire body being nourished by this healing white light.
And the support of your own loving attention.
Allowing your awareness to dance between the right side of your body.
The left side of your body.
The right.
The left.
And the right.
Doing this way until your awareness naturally reaches the centre.
Feeling this beautiful healing energy.
Resting all the way through the centre of your being.
Your entire body enveloped by rest and relaxation.
Your mind and body filled with healing white light.
Giving yourself permission to rest here in this moment.
Exactly as you are.
Feeling calm and at peace.
Resting in the wisdom of your body.
And the healing powers of your gentle attention.
Allowing yourself to just be.
And you can continue in this way for as long as you like.
Resting here in this state of heaviness.
Peacefulness and whole body relaxation.
Perhaps allowing yourself to simply drift off to sleep.
Or choosing to end the practice whenever it feels right for you.
Honouring whatever it is that you need right now in this moment.
Enjoying this experience of whole body healing relaxation.
And the music will continue for a little while longer now.
Once you appreciate this final moment of our practice together.

Thankyou. Your soothing voice was amazing at getting me off to sleep. The meditation was beautiful. My feet were very painful though. It must have been the tension coming out of them. I'm packing up for moving at the moment, so I'm sometimes quite stressed and very tired by the end of the day.
