Just allowing yourself to settle into a nice comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
If you haven't already,
Lightly closing down your eyes,
Allowing yourself to settle into a state of stillness and relaxation.
In your own time,
Taking a few long,
Deep,
Full breaths.
With each exhalation that follows,
Completely letting go,
Knowing that today is done.
This is your time to simply unwind.
Even though your mind might not realize it yet,
Know that there's nothing else you need to do.
Nowhere else you need to be.
This is your opportunity to allow yourself to be exactly as you are,
Right now,
In this moment.
As best you can,
Setting aside any work or study commitments that have led you up until this point today.
Seeing if you can allow yourself to start to wind down.
Letting go of any tension or tightness you might have been holding onto throughout your body.
Seeing if you can let your body sink a little bit further down into the support of the surfaces beneath you.
Allowing your whole body to feel held and supported as you begin to let go.
Just allowing your mind to rest on the slow,
Steady rhythm of your breath.
Flowing in and out of your body.
Not trying to change or control your breathing in any way.
Simply allowing your breath to ebb and flow without any effort.
And as you continue to observe the breath,
You might start to feel the energy slowing down and letting go.
Weaving its way throughout your body.
Beginning to experience a sense of respite from the busyness of your day.
If your mind continues to wander,
Know that this is perfectly okay.
All you have to do is simply guide your awareness back to the gentleness of your breath.
And the sense of softening that you're experiencing in your body.
With each exhalation,
Allowing all of your stress,
All of your worries,
And all of your doubts to melt away into the background of your awareness.
Letting it all go.
Simply giving yourself permission to slow down.
Unwind.
And receive rest at the end of your day.
Continuing to bask in this beautiful energy of unwinding.
For the final few moments of this practice.
Until you hear the sound of the bell.
