So when you're ready finding your way into a nice comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
Making any movements or adjustments that you need so that you can settle into stillness.
And guiding your awareness to the gentle rising and falling of your breath.
And experiencing how it feels in your body to be breathing without needing to control or manipulate your breath in any way.
And as you stay with the breath,
Start to guide your awareness through your body.
Becoming aware of any feelings of tension or tightness.
Feelings of clenching,
Holding on.
And seeing whether there are any feelings of restlessness or impatience.
As you guide your mind throughout your body,
Just becoming aware of how you are feeling in this moment.
And from this sense of awareness,
Seeing if you can give yourself permission to slow down,
To soften,
To be exactly as you are right now without needing to change anything at all.
As you continue to stay with your breath,
Seeing if with each exhalation you can soften down closer and closer into the support of the chair,
The bed,
The floor beneath you.
And from this place of softening,
Take a moment to reflect.
How would you feel if you were to let go of trying to control your life?
What would it be like if you were to release your desire to strive,
Achieve and succeed?
If you let go of your eagerness to get somewhere or achieve something?
And simply allowed yourself to slow down and settle in with the rhythm of the universe?
How would you feel if you let go of your expectations?
Your ideal timelines and instead found acceptance for yourself and your life exactly as they are?
And as you rest here,
Notice the change in your life.
Notice if there are any feelings of resistance or struggle starting to bubble up to the surface.
And if these feelings arise,
Seeing if you can allow them to be there as they are.
Not needing to change anything about your experience.
Simply seeing if you can be at peace with the way things are.
Trying to embrace the present moment.
Allowing yourself to remain here in this sense of stillness,
Peacefulness,
Patience and acceptance.
For the final few moments of your practice.
And then you feel ready.
Breathing to deepen your breath once again.
Finding movement through your toes,
Your fingers.
And rolling through your neck.
Taking any movement or stretches that you need to ease your way out of your practice slowly and mindfully.
Take as much time as you need here.
And when you feel ready,
You can gently blink your eyes back open into a soft and steady gaze.
