Welcome friends.

Today we are going to spend some time on the path together.

This is a metaphor that I like to use in my life to think about my journey.

I walk almost every day in the forest or on the trails.

I love a linear path where I can't see too far ahead and I can't see too far behind.

It keeps me present and grounded in my body and in my heart and my soul.

So today I wanted to meditate with you and imagine that path together.

So find a comfortable position,

Maybe lying down or seated.

You can cross your legs or whatever feels comfortable.

And with your hands over your heart,

I invite you to soften your gaze,

Close your eyes.

Maybe even roll into it a little bit,

A little sway forward,

A little rounding of the back.

As we take some breaths together,

Inhale.

Exhale.

Again,

Inhale through the nose.

And exhale through the mouth.

And as we slow down the pace of our mind and our thoughts,

Draw your attention to your third eye,

Using your slow breath as your guide.

And visualize a path,

A trail.

Maybe it's a dirt trail or maybe it's woods or a sidewalk.

Maybe it's a road.

Let's meet there on the path in our visual,

In our imagination.

Let's meet there and breathe together.

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

And as you start to move on the path in your imagination,

Try to match the pace of your steps with the pace of your slow breath.

Very,

Very gently,

Taking one step at a time.

Imagine your feet gently kissing the earth as you walk along that path.

And your gentle breathing and the gentle rhythm of your heart.

Maybe you can feel your gentle beat.

Let's draw our attention to our feet that are walking slowly on our imaginary path.

And that gentle touch on the earth.

I wonder what that feels like in your body.

The earth receiving your gentle touch.

And you receiving their support.

The touch of the earth that holds us.

Let's breathe.

And as you walk,

This is your time on your path.

It's time to listen into your body and into what your heart is reaching for.

I wonder if you can see a being either walking alongside you or maybe a little bit up ahead.

Maybe a human being or maybe a pet or somebody,

Something up ahead that is just holding space for you,

Cheering you on on your path.

And with this next breath,

Receive their love.

Inhale.

And on your out breath,

Return the love to that being.

Hold space for yourself and for other beings on the path.

As we move along in our journey in this life,

May we meet each other on this path with gentleness,

Tenderness,

With love,

Encouragement,

Support.

Thank you for meeting me here today.

We'll take this one last breath together.

Receiving each other's love and then returning our love to you,

To each other.

And I look forward to meeting you here again on the path.
