Hello friends.
Today we are gathering to ground ourselves in presence.
We will be breathing together and awakening our senses and just deepening our feeling of presence in our bodies.
So let's begin by sitting in a comfortable position inside your home or wherever you may be or even outside.
This is a beautiful meditation to do in nature.
So I encourage you if you are in a place or you feel called to be outside and comfortably seated there,
During our time together we are going to deepen our relationship to ourselves.
Let's start by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath in through our nose and out through our mouth.
Let's do that again.
Deep inhale in and exhale out.
Notice the air coming into your body and then as we let it go we return it to space.
I wonder what it's like to inhale and exhale.
Notice the interaction,
The exchange happening between you,
Bringing it in,
Letting it go.
And the outside world,
The space outside of you receiving what it is that you're letting go.
As you take those breaths in through your nose,
Notice any scents,
Any smells on the air that might be finding their way to you.
Wonder if they enter your body and ignite a sensation.
Perhaps there's a sound that is calling to you.
Maybe it's the sound of a nature being.
Maybe it's the sound of your heart.
Maybe it's just the sound of stillness.
Let's breathe together.
Inhale in and exhale out.
I wonder if you feel something on your skin or even if you rub your fingers together.
Does that create a sensation on your skin?
Feeling in your body,
That sense of touch.
I wonder if you can touch the earth around you or feel it supporting you under your feet,
Under your sit bone.
If there's a way for you just to touch the earth and feel a sense of connection.
Maybe imagining the roots under the surface of where you're sitting or standing,
Like the roots of a tree connecting to your body and just feeling what that connection feels like.
And then as you move your fingers in space,
Maybe even move your shoulders and your arms if you've got some space around you to move.
I wonder what it feels like to move your body in space.
And if it feels good for you to place your hands or one hand on your heart,
Taking a deep breath in,
Feeling into that space,
Into that love and that warmth inside you.
Maybe you can even feel the rhythm of your heartbeat on your hand and holding that rhythm,
Just deeply connecting to that rhythm of your own heart.
I wonder if there is a message that your heart is receiving or what your heart might be reaching for in this moment.
Let's take a deep breath.
And as we open our eyes slowly and we just take in the gift of presence of this time together in this space,
Let's just receive the love that we've shared and carry it with us as we go on through our day.
Thank you for being here.
