Hello friends,

Let's meet in a comfortable space.

You can stand for this meditation or sit wherever you feel most comfortable.

As a way of settling in,

Please join me in taking two deep breaths with your eyes open.

Let's begin.

Inhale and exhale.

Stay with the connection to your breath and close your eyes now.

Imagine your breath as a flow of water.

It might be a river or a stream.

And as you breathe in and out,

Think of your breath as a wave coming into shore and going out to sea.

As you go with the flow of your breath,

I invite you to look in your mind's eye for a tree.

Look in your nature and find your tree.

It might be a tree stump on the side of a path or near the shoreline.

Or perhaps it's a beautiful old tree standing alone.

Go to your tree and stand with it.

Allow your breath to flow around it.

Imagine your legs are grounded at the base of your tree and feel your energy connecting to its roots.

When you're here,

Identify any feeling of pain that may come up in your body and release that pain energy through your breath,

Through your feet into the soil.

Release the energy from your body into the earth.

As the pain energy is released with the flow of your breath,

Feel it being absorbed by the great healing energy of the earth.

In this moment,

Allow the earth to hold you.

Let the sunlight warm your feet and warm your body.

Feel the energy of the sun flow up through your feet,

Up your legs,

Through your abdomen,

Into your spine.

Feel the warm energy in your shoulders rising all the way up through your neck into your head and feel the sensation of the sun in your fingertips.

Be with the warmth of the sun and the strength of the tree as you ground yourself in your body and in your space today.

Thank yourself for taking time to connect your body and spirit in this meditation.

Let's give thanks to Mother Earth for grounding us in her love and light.

And thank you all for being here.
