This is Mary Maddox with MeditationOasis.

Com.

We've had a lot of requests for guided meditation for a healthy body.

Some of you wanted to specifically visualize a healthy goal.

If you have a specific goal,

You can take a little time now to set an intention to reach that goal.

And now you can let the intention go and it will automatically focus the energy during the meditation.

This meditation can be done sitting or lying down.

Take some time to get comfortable.

Now close your eyes.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Your breath is sustaining your body.

With every in-breath,

Oxygen is brought into your body.

It's all happening automatically.

You don't have to try to make yourself breathe.

Simply notice that automatic in and out of the breath.

Notice how your body feels as it breathes.

Notice the movement of your chest,

Of your belly.

Take some nice deep breaths.

Let your belly relax and let the breath go deep into the belly.

Nice deep breaths.

And now allow the breath to return to normal,

Going on its own,

And bring your attention to your body.

Feel the weight of your body.

Notice all the sensations going on in your body.

In this meditation we'll be focused on the body.

Thoughts will still be going on.

That's fine.

Just favor the sensations in the body and allow your attention to be easily with the sensation.

Anytime you notice that your mind has wandered,

Just easily bring it back to the body.

Let your whole body be in your awareness.

Now bring your attention to your heart.

Let your awareness be with the area of your heart,

Deep in your chest.

Your heart is beating.

Maybe you'll even notice that.

Feel in your heart,

Strong,

Beating regularly,

Pumping blood.

Feel the strength and energy in your heart.

How would a healthy heart feel?

See if you can feel a sense of well-being in the area of your heart.

Bringing our attention to our hearts may bring up some emotions.

That's fine.

Just softening around the emotion,

Letting your heart be open,

Knowing that the heart has its own wisdom.

Allow yourself to relax,

Not trying to make anything happen,

Not resisting what you notice.

Healthy,

Strong heart.

If you want to,

You can imagine the blood coming into your heart,

Being pumped out of your heart and circulating throughout your whole body.

You can imagine your circulatory system or just imagine an energy radiating from your heart throughout your whole body.

Imagine reaching every cell in your body.

Feel your body filled with energy,

Filled with life.

Feeling that constant flow of blood away from the heart,

Back to the heart,

That constant circulation,

Letting it be lively,

Strong,

Reaching everything.

Now bring your attention to your lungs.

Notice the movement in your chest as you breathe.

Notice the feeling of the air as it moves in and out of your nose.

Imagine the air moving down into your lungs,

Expanding your lungs.

You can imagine that in your lungs,

The blood is being saturated with oxygen.

Feel that oxygen moving again with the blood throughout your whole body.

Let yourself relax,

Knowing that the body is doing the breathing.

The body is circulating the oxygen.

Everything is being done for you and you just need to relax and receive the health that your body is bringing to you.

Imagine your lungs permeated with a sense of well-being.

Imagine them strong,

Flexible,

Efficient.

Now bring your attention to your digestive system,

Your stomach,

Small intestines,

Large intestines,

The organs that support digestion.

Notice if you're feeling any tension in the area of your stomach and if you feel tension,

Let it relax,

Let it dissolve.

Imagine that any food in your stomach or in your intestines is being digested just perfectly.

All the nutrients are being extracted from your food and all the nutrients go into your blood and nourish your body.

Imagine that nourishment traveling throughout your whole body,

Bringing health to everything in your body,

Promoting healing where it's needed.

Imagine let your body feel full of energy and a sense of well-being.

Feel the circulation of the blood,

Of the oxygen of the blood,

Of the nutrients in the blood going throughout your whole body,

Everything moving.

And the movement also carrying off waste.

So you can imagine your body being cleansed.

If you want to,

You can create a visualization for that.

Imagine energy or a rain shower or something cleansing your body,

Sweeping away any toxins.

And now,

Feeling gratitude for this amazing body that you are experiencing life in.

Feel how precious it is.

What an amazing,

Miraculous thing the body is.

And know that you're going to take good care of it.

Your body is your friend.

Be a friend to your body.

Let's bring our attention back now to the heart.

Let that gratitude drop into your heart and circulate throughout your body.

Now the music will continue for a while longer.

If you'd like,

You can sit for a while with the feeling of well-being in your body,

Sensing the energy,

Health,

Vitality,

Life.

And when you're ready to come out of meditation,

Take your time and come out slowly.

You can stretch,

Move around,

And then slowly open your eyes.

And now,

Let's bring our attention back to the heart.

Let that gratitude drop into your heart and circulate throughout your body.

And now,

Let's bring our attention back to the heart.

Let that gratitude drop into your heart and circulate throughout your body.
