Lesson 4
Exploring Sad And Happy Moods In Melodic Exploration Using A Drone And Simple Chordal Passages With Your Mantra/Affirmation
Arranging the notes in relation to the drone note changes the mood of your melody. It can make the melody sad, happy, or magical. We can use this to express the words that we are singing. Sad is called a minor key and a happy sounding group of notes in sequence is called a major key. We will explore this in lesson 4. We will do a warmup and then we will explore the sad and happy moods in your melodic exploration using the drone and your chosen mantra/ affirmation. Then will use some simple chordal passages using the auto harp and a drone. Remember it is time for you to explore. It's not about being right or wrong. As Miles Davis said "do not fear mistakes. There are none." Yes!! I love this quote. Enjoy yourself.
