This is a sus which is Irish for pause.
This particular sus is to support you if you have a loved one who is unwell and is in isolation.
During this practice you may like to watch the images or you may prefer to close your eyes or lower your gaze.
And we start in the most simple way by breathing together,
Taking three full breaths.
And feeling the connection of your feet with the ground and your body against the chair.
Or if you're lying down,
The contact of the body with the surface beneath you.
And in this way,
Allowing yourself to feel a little bit more grounded.
Now sensing the rising and falling of the body as the breath moves in and out.
Resting your attention on the chest and the area of the heart.
And gently noticing any emotions which may be present right now.
You may also be able to notice some areas of tightness or tension throughout the body.
And without pushing anything away,
Can you simply acknowledge whatever it is that you're feeling.
And as the breath continues to flow in and out of the body,
You might like to offer your loved ones some loving kindness.
May they be safe,
May they be comfortable,
May they be free from pain,
May they know that they are loved and that you are there with them at this time.
I invite you now to choose your own words,
Whatever feels natural for you and something you would like to offer in your own way.
