It gives us two minutes to calm and steady ourselves.
So let's start by stopping.
Coming into stillness,
Collecting your attention,
Closing your eyes or lowering the gaze.
And we open in the most simple way by breathing together,
Taking three full breaths.
And as the breath resumes its natural rhythm,
Feel the connection of your feet against the floor and the body against the chair.
Or if you're lying down,
The contact of the body against the surface beneath you.
And in this way,
Allowing yourself to feel a little bit more grounded.
And with the breath flowing in and out of the body,
Taking a moment to notice how you are within yourself.
Maybe you can notice some tightness or tension in the body.
So without having to push anything away,
Can you imagine what it might be like to be 2% more at ease right now?
