Sos (pronounced suss) is Irish for pause. This is a practice to Stop, Open and Stand in Solidarity with everyone affected by the coronavirus. It is led by Nina, aged 11. It helps you calm and steady yourself and also connects you with all that's happening in the world right now through a short practice of loving-kindness.

Welcome to this sauce,

Which is Irish for pause.

Let's take a few minutes to steady ourselves and connect with one another as we come to terms with the coronavirus.

S.

Is for stop or settle.

So let's start by stopping or depending on what you are doing right now.

You can just let everything settle a little bit as you collect your attention.

O.

O is for open and we open in the most simple way by breathing together,

Taking three full breaths.

And as your breath resumes natural rhythm,

Feel the connection of your feet with the ground.

If you're lying down,

Feeling your body against the surface beneath you.

S.

S is for solidarity with others.

Now let's give ourselves a moment to acknowledge everything that's happening in our world right now.

With our feet grounded and our breath coming in and out of our body,

We start with ourselves,

Our families,

Our communities and everyone across the country and everyone across the world.

May we all be well.

May we all be steady.

May we all be kind with ourselves and each other during this time.
