With your eyes open,
Taking in one full breath into the belly and into the chest,
Holding the fullness for a moment and then letting it all expel,
A satisfying exhale,
Inhaling once more,
Filling up,
Holding for that beautiful moment and expelling the air,
Inhaling once more,
Holding when you are full,
And as you then expel the air,
Letting your eyes close and your breathing return to its own natural rhythm.
With your eyesight now being removed,
As your eyes are closed,
You're invited to look internally now by feeling,
Feeling your body and the residue from these three full breaths.
Maybe your heart rate having accelerated a little bit.
There may be a gentle tingle present in your body from the extra oxygen that you have breathed in.
Or something else subtle that you may notice,
Or even nothing at all that is obvious to you.
In the end,
None of this matters,
But what does matter is that you just spend the last few moments present within yourself,
Present by feeling,
Observing your internal self,
Your inner landscape.
And so here I invite you to continue by letting more of your awareness move towards the center of your body,
Trusting yourself for guidance.
There is no anatomical correctness,
No perfect center in the sense.
Just allowing yourself to land where it feels good,
Where it feels right for you to be aware.
Right here where you are now,
Feeling,
Sensing what is within this space.
No need to judge the space or the experience that is there.
But can you let yourself just feel for the sake of feeling,
No matter how subtle those sensations or that one sensation may be.
And please know that even when you think you're not feeling anything at all,
That even that requires you to feel.
Because when that is the case,
That we think we are not feeling anything,
Then we are feeling that nothingness.
And that too is something.
So whatever it is that you are feeling within the center of you,
Within that space,
Just allow yourself to feel,
To experience it without judgment.
And if you're open to it,
You may as well begin to embrace it a little more.
Like you would embrace a friend,
Someone you know.
And each time the mind comes in with thoughts and so many other things,
Ideas,
Checklists,
Doubts,
And whatever else there may be,
Your body reminds you of where you just were and invites you to return to that space.
So that once again you can feel that center of you move a little deeper within that center of you.
And now guiding your breath ever so gently into that space.
Breathing into that space and out of that space on the exhales.
Into the space with your inhale and out of the space with your exhale.
Continuing in this way for a few more breaths,
Just sensing the journey that your breath makes towards the space and out of the space.
No need for judgment.
Just feeling the experience of breathing into your center and from your center.
And when you find this has been ample,
That you breathe consciously in and out of this center of you,
Then I invite you to let the breath do whatever your breathing wants to do.
Allowing it the freedom to move however it wants to move.
And your awareness in a sense detach from the breath,
From the focus on your breath and move solely into that center of you again.
To feel the residue of this conscious central breathing that you just completed and then being with it for as long as you like to be.
Before you eventually open your eyes again and move about your day.
