Whew! Anger! It can be a tricky emotion to handle. Meditation often helps to soothe the fire of anger, but getting there when you are overwhelmed can be really difficult. This guided meditation is specifically for times when you are angry or feeling resistance. It acknowledges and releases your feelings while helping you understand the deeper wisdom that is under the stormy surface. Using your breath is a fantastic tool for moving through anger and this meditation guides you to do just that.

Take a deep breath.

Find a comfortable seated position.

Rest your arms gently.

Close your eyes.

You may be experiencing any number of thoughts and emotions as you begin this meditation.

That's okay.

It's perfectly fine.

Know that just by arriving here you are already beginning to shift.

Just for now,

We're going to set aside any heavy or restrictive thoughts or emotions.

Take them off like an old coat.

Let the heaviness come off your shoulders just for a moment while we do this meditation.

Acknowledge that you can come back to these thoughts and emotions if you need them later.

But for right now,

You will pack them away just like an old winter coat.

Fold it carefully and place it inside a large cedar chest.

This chest will keep whatever issue is troubling you safe while you journey.

Your guide or your guardian angel will watch over the chest while you continue on.

You may be experiencing any number of thoughts or emotions as you begin this meditation.

Let the heaviness come back to this.

Breathe deeply.

Breathe fully.

Breathe fully.

For you is a beautiful archway in a grassy meadow.

Beyond the archway you see a path worn into the dirt,

Winding up a low grass-covered hill.

The path beckons you forward and as you walk beneath the arch you feel a shift in the weather.

The wind is blowing and swirling around you.

As you walk up the hill you find that the wind is beginning to blow stronger and stronger.

The wind pushes against you.

This wind is your resistance.

The force of the wind pushing against you as you push against it.

It is clear.

Pushing does not work here.

The more resistance you have the stronger the wind blows.

Take a moment now with your eyes gently closed and feel how strong the wind is for you.

Take a deep breath and allow the wind to push through you.

The wind goes right through you and as it does it loses some of its energy.

It gets just a little easier to walk.

It softens just a little bit.

Take a moment now to breathe.

The wind is blowing.

The wind is blowing.

The wind is blowing.

Let the wind go through you and take a step further up the path.

Breathe and let the wind go through you and take another step.

Continue this way until you reach the top of the hill.

Just breathe.

Let it flow.

Let it go.

Let it flow through you and walk steadily step by step to the top.

You may experience different thoughts and emotions as you walk up the hill.

Breathe and let it go.

Continue on until you reach the top.

As you reach the top of the hill you see a great circle of stones.

In the center of the circle there is a beautiful fountain.

At the top of the fountain there is a very large,

Clear crystal sphere.

The sunlight shines through the crystal and you see multicolored rainbows and lights deep within the crystal.

The crystal sphere glows as if lit from within.

It seems to emit its own light.

Within the light you see a figure moving.

This is your divine guardian,

The steward of your soul and the caretaker of your book in the hall of records where every detail of your life has been written.

All of the connections and interconnections with everyone you have ever known is written in your own life book.

Your guardian knows all of this and more.

Your divine guardian emerges from the crystal and walks towards you.

They greet you warmly and ask you to sit and chat with them.

You can ask them anything you like.

They have deep and ancient knowledge that is guided by the compassionate nature of the universe.

Your guardian can share any information that will support you in your journey towards peace.

They know exactly what will help you let go of the causes of anger and replace them with peace,

Calm,

Love,

Joy and wisdom.

You may be shown different parts of the movie of your life.

You may have a conversation.

You may just sit still in the presence of this divine being and receive healing.

Whatever happens is just right for you.

You may end a few moments now receiving this kind information.

Thank you.

Thank your divine guardian for their wise and kind information.

Your divine guardian,

The keeper of your book of wisdom,

Says goodbye and returns to the center of the crystal.

Take a moment to absorb the beauty of this place.

Notice now the softness of the breeze.

Notice now the beautiful sunshine all around you.

Sunshine filling you.

Sunshine cleansing you.

You are filled with light now.

You feel so light now.

You are light.

Now walk back down the path,

Easy,

Relaxed and free.

Walk back to the archway.

As you walk under the archway,

You notice that the sunny and beautiful weather has followed you.

Thank your guardian for their wise guidance.

Take a deep breath.

Come back fully into your body.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

This really helped me. I found their voice very calming and they made it easy for me to picture myself on the hill. That part was fun.
