Lucy is a facilitator, writer and researcher-practitioner in the fields of Mindfulness and Compassion. After graduating from Oxford, she obtained a PGCE and went to Botswana to work in education. In 2000, she moved to South Africa, where she was awarded a doctorate in Mindfulness and Teacher Education. Her 2022 book, The Compassionate Activist was written to support change-makers engage with their work from an ethic of care and reflexivity. She leads retreats around Southern Africa and is involved with research both in the UK and South Africa. She currently lives in rural Cornwall, UK, on a sailing boat, from where she is grateful to maintain her connections with a global community through Insight Timer.

Thank you so much for that morning meditation. It is somewhat longer than my usual morning intention setting. However, I really like the idea of using it weekly as a way to set intentions for the entire week.
