A visualisation to meet your fear or any resistance.
Find a space where you can sit and you won't be disturbed for a few minutes,
Just giving you the time to go into this and connect with it.
So sit comfortably,
Gently lower your gaze or close your eyes if that feels good to you.
And just begin to connect with that feeling of resistance that's coming up in your body.
Just allowing yourself to really,
Really feel it,
Really notice it,
Where you can feel it in your body and what it feels like to you in your body.
Really focusing your attention on it,
Allowing it to become bigger.
Just really honouring this part of you,
Acknowledging it,
Knowing that by meeting it,
You're supporting yourself to move through it.
And so as you connect with it,
Get really curious about it.
Perhaps you can make yourself very small so you can go and stand next to it in your body.
Does it have a shape?
Does it have a size?
A colour?
What does it feel like to you in your body?
How do you feel next to it?
Now I'd like you to begin to ask it some questions.
Just allowing any response to come up and if nothing does,
That's fine too.
I'm just asking it,
Where have you come from?
What are you here to teach me?
What messages do you have for me?
Where do you originate from?
Is there anything else that you have to share with me right now?
And now asking it,
What do you need from me to support you?
Are there any practical action steps I can take to move through this,
To give you what you need?
Just spending as long as you need connecting with this part of yourself,
Perhaps holding it,
Bringing love,
Bringing light into it,
Breathing deeply into it.
Giving this part what it needs,
Perhaps visualising it,
Really just being with it,
Mothering it.
And take as long as you need.
Then perhaps asking it if it's ready to let you move forward or if it needs anything else.
Acknowledging that it might be a process,
It might take some time and that's okay too.
And when you're ready,
Thanking this part of yourself for being there for you,
Looking out for you,
Know that you can come back to it,
Spend time with it and be with it whenever you need.
And just slowly when you're ready,
Bring yourself back into the space that you're in.
