This was a very supportive and practical talk. Thank you for sharing what has helped you with us all. I found it reassuring, wise and kind. Yes it did resonate with me personally in terms of managing a chronic health issue. It really was so helpful!

Hi Liza, I just discovered you today and I've already listened to several of your tracks (one after the other!) before landing on this illness talk. Not only have I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your very creative and meaningful poetry, but now I've heard you reaching out with authenticity and true compassion to those of us struggling with illness. It is so evident how much you care about others and your delivery of the information (which of course can be quite sensitive) is so loving. I just wanted to let you know that I see you, I hear you, and I thank you immensely. 🙏🏻🩵

All ten suggestions are imprtant elements in my struggle with 5 1/2 years of a chronic, debilitating illness. Hearing them listed, all in one talk, and spoken in such a calm, compassionate voice is really helpful. Acknowledging limitations is painful, as is asking for help, but at certain points (repeated innumerable times) it has to happen. It’s not a one-and-done situation as my health is not stable. There’s so much grief with acknowledging what I have lost and how relationships have changed as I’ve gotten sicker. What do you suggest for coping with grief - especially when it isn’t static, and keeps appearing with each new loss?
