Sometimes all you need is your breath to be enough for this moment.
Sometimes you just need to quiet down,
To put down the work.
The to do's and set.
And sometimes you can stop rushing and that's enough.
Sometimes it doesn't take a lot of effort to find your calm.
Sometimes you just need to sit.
And that's the intention for today's meditation.
It's to just be.
With you and your breath.
So find yourself in a comfortable position.
I like to lay down sometimes for my meditations,
But you can sit,
You can be propped against a wall,
Whatever works for you.
And when you're ready.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And let it go through your mouth.
Again breathe in and out.
One more time inhale.
And exit Just feel your body start to soften.
Feel yourself relax into the room.
And just letting your breath return to its natural rhythm.
There's nothing special you need to do with it.
Just simply notice that it arrives.
And as you sit here softening,
And for the next few breaths.
Quietly say to yourself,
As you breathe in.
Here.
And as you breathe out,
Here.
Nothing else.
Just.
Here.
Breathe in.
Here.
Breathing.
If your mind wanders,
Let it wander.
When you notice you've left,
Just gently return here.
And here.
Now just breathe and be here.
Take a slow breath in.
For a count of four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And exhale for six,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
A few more times at your own pace.
Longer exhale,
Nothing Nothing forced,
Just you and counting the breaths.
Now let the counting go.
Let your breath settle.
Just breathing naturally in and out.
And imagine you're sitting beside an open window.
The air moves in,
The air moves out.
The room does not chase the breeze.
It does not hold on to it.
It simply allows it to pass through.
Your thoughts can be like that.
A thought arrives and you notice it and it moves on.
Another arrives and you notice it and it moves on.
You don't need to follow every thought.
You don't need to answer every question your mind asks.
For these moments,
You can let things remain unfinished.
Take a breath.
Take another breath.
Notice the quiet spaces between the breaths.
The moment before the next inhale begins.
Really pay attention to what's happening when you breathe in.
And when you breathe out Be here for a moment and just breathe and notice.
Most of life happens quickly,
But these small pauses are always there.
Tiny spaces that ask nothing of you.
Just rest here for a few breaths,
Breathing in.
And breathing out with nothing to solve or prepare for,
Nothing to become.
And if something difficult is present today,
Allow it to sit beside you.
You don't have to push anything away You don't have to pull it closer.
You can simply let it be here.
And you can be here too.
Take another slow breath.
The air enters.
The air leaves.
The day enters.
Day leaves.
Thoughts arrive.
Thoughts leave.
Feel how the breath keeps moving whether you pay attention or not.
A reminder that not everything requires effort.
Not everything requires your effort.
For the next few moments,
Just breathe naturally.
And with each exhale,
Repeat silently.
Enough for this moment.
Breathe in Exhale,
Enough for this moment.
Breathing in.
The work can wait,
The answers can wait,
Tomorrow can wait.
This breath.
This chair,
This room,
This moment,
It's enough.
Take one final slow breath in.
And let it go.
Notice the surface beneath you.
Notice the sounds around you.
Notice the simple fact that you're here.
Before you open your eyes,
Just ask yourself,
What if this moment doesn't need anything more from me?
What if this was just a night?
Allow that question to stay with you.
When you're ready,
You can start gently returning to your body.
With another inhale.
And a beautiful exhale.
And remember that even though life is busy,
Your time is precious and you are worth resting,
Worth breathing for.
And sometimes your breath is just an echo.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
Have a beautiful day.
