Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called the forest surprise.
Let's begin in your bedroom.
On your bed,
Please give your pillow a good squeeze,
Making a fluffy dreamy pillow.
Settle into bed now.
Closing one eye for the forest.
Closing the next eye for the surprise.
Let the eyes inside go round and round,
Round.
Let all the toes stretch open too.
Soon we shall begin this story.
Now relax everything.
Get very comfortable.
To the beginning of entering the nearby forest.
A place that is very calm,
Relaxing and extremely beautiful.
Walking into this sweet,
Fresh forest.
A warm,
Breezy day.
All the trees shaking their leaves with a soft musical sound.
Sunlight and shades dips on the forest floor like disco lights.
Now Jane and George love walking outdoors.
And so they walked down the dry,
Muddied path.
And then they stopped for something surprised them.
To see a really tall flower that was the same height as themselves.
It made them laugh as they both leaned forward to take a sniff.
And what a lovely smell the forest flower did have.
Lots of little white petals,
All in a big cluster.
Then Jane and George turned round a corner and saw more and more tall flowers.
The same height exactly as themselves.
This made them laugh again.
For flowers they usually had to bend down to the ground to enjoy the happiness they bring.
Jane and George felt for a moment that it would be like to be so fairy size.
Now the trees seemed to look taller today.
Maybe they hadn't really looked so deep as they was doing today.
Huge tree trunks for sure.
For when they looked at the tall trees down this path,
They both had to lean back and put their heads up high to see all their beauty.
What was happening?
Then in the distance they saw a ladybird.
Yes,
Bright red with little black dots.
They could hear someone whistling too.
They couldn't take their eyes off the red ladybird as it got closer and closer,
Closer.
It was getting bigger and bigger,
Bigger.
And by the time it met Jane and George on this forest path,
Well,
It was unusually big,
Up to their hips.
So they rubbed their eyes thinking the same thought.
You're very cute,
But I've never seen your size before.
The ladybird stopped whistling and said,
You must know by now,
You are in the magical forest.
I am traveling alone today,
But off to a great party.
Would you be interested in joining me too?
For it's the big dandelion wish day.
Because it is a warm and very breezy,
In fact the most warmest and the most breeziest day is today.
Then the dandelions will fly,
Fly away with wishes galore.
That's why you are here,
Isn't it?
On this special day?
The ladybird closed one of her eyes,
Then looked deep with the other eye into Jane and George's eyes and said with a bright smile,
You do still wish for nice things to happen,
Don't you?
They both had to think about this one.
Then they both said at the very same time,
I haven't done it for ages really.
The ladybird replied,
This is probably why you have both met me today.
It is the right day,
The breeziest,
The warmest,
And the wish party is today.
Now come and sit upon my bright red back of pretty black dots.
What shall we call you?
Said Jane and George.
Oh,
You can give me a name if you wish.
Well,
She looked so cute,
They both thought,
And then in a second,
The name Beth popped into their heads.
Ladybird Beth liked having two new friends to go to the wish party and got so excited,
She began to fly the rest of the way with Jane and George.
The breezy wind so quickly got them both there,
And the sky did change into one big party.
Like floating glass umbrellas,
The dandelions in their thousands filled a bright blue sky.
Each glass-like umbrella held a magic wishing seed.
Now what we do is grab one at a time and put the wish seed in your pocket.
Then plant them all tomorrow.
From little seeds,
Big dreams come true,
Said Ladybird Beth.
How the afternoon did merrily go by,
With both their pockets full of wishing seeds.
Anyone who needed a wish came to join in the fun.
Jane and George began to wish it was tomorrow,
So they could plant their wishing seeds.
And so their first wish came true.
They were both suddenly back in their own garden.
The seeds in their pockets were almost dancing with excitement.
So lucky,
So happy,
The little seeds were.
Planting was fun,
And so was the digging with their little spades,
To put them each in.
They had so many wishing seeds,
That they put some in pots under the windowsill,
And was careful to wish for those they loved too,
Such as their family.
Then the second wish came so very fast,
For they wanted very much to have a nice holiday.
They woke up that very next morning,
And their suitcases were at the end of the beds.
Holiday clothes were on the chair,
And they just knew breakfast was ready,
For they could smell the cooking of hot pancakes.
Pancakes to be served with lots of honey,
Lots of fruit and chocolate sauce,
Yummy.
So Jane and George couldn't stop smiling all day long.
Well,
I wonder where they wanted to go on holiday?
Perhaps the seaside?
What would be the perfect holiday for yourself?
You can wish for it to happen now.
And what would be the perfect holiday breakfast for you?
You can wish for that too.
Is your suitcase packed,
And holiday clothes on the chair perhaps?
Please continue this dream all the way through,
And be ready after breakfast to go away at last,
Somewhere really fun and happy.
So continue to think and continue to dream that is full of happy wishes,
Dandelion wishes,
Getting ready for a new holiday.
Remember it's up to you to dream big.
